Born and grew up in western PA. Attended Penn State University. Moved to North Central Ohio in my early 20's and stayed there till 2011. I purchased a home in Florida in 2011 to enjoy the warm winters. I sure didn't miss the cold northen winter of 2014 - 2015. I enjoyed the pool
while all my neighbors up north cursed and shoveled snow. But I guess I did have to cut grass all winter.
I have three grown children. Two daughters and a son. More grand children than I care to admit and even a couple of great-grandchildren.
Had a couple of Golden Retrievers as my latest family members. They are now passed on. The last one traveled with me through Mexico, all 49 continental states, and all of Canada from the Artic in the Northwesteran Territory across to New Brunswick. We only had the Atlantic Provinces left to complete all of North America. Unfortunately she died two days after I closed on my home here in Florida in 2011.
I guess it will not be to much longer till I get a new puppy.

Larry dropped by for the night and left us with plenty of great travel stories to remember him by. We trust some day there will be another furry companion to share his adventures with.
Larry has a lot of stories of his travels and an interesting fellow to talk to. Easy to have as a guest and would recommend him as a guest to anyone.
Very good guest. We would recommend Larry for anyone to have as a guest. Easy going, and no problem.
We have stayed with lmccollim a few times now and it is always an absolute pleasure. Not only is his location very beautiful and peaceful, but we always enjoy our time there! He is a wonderful, kind guy who is always a pleasure to visit! Thanks for another wonderful stay!
Larry was an excellent host and made me feel home on his beautiful property on the river.
Thank you again Larry, nothing could be better :-)
Kind host, beautiful and well maintained property, and great views of the river!
Larry is The Host with the most and his spot is world class gorgeous. Larry has a way of making you feel right at home in his little paradise on The Caloosahatchee River near the "singing swinging bridge". He is generous and kind and our family has plans to adopt him. If you are planning on being within 1000 miles from here, you might want to request a stay.
We stayed with Larry earlier this winter on our trek down to the Keys. We are now on our way back up North. Can't say enough positives about Larry. If only there were more of him in the world. Its a nice spot, peaceful and very relaxing. Larry treats you as if you were paying to stay there. I sure hope he comes up North and we get to return the favour. It was really hard to leave - felt like we left one of our good friends behind. See you soon Larry!
PS Daisy will never have it as great as she did at your place.
The truth is I’m not sure what our time in the Fort Meyers area would have been if it wasn’t for staying at Larry’s. Great spot right on the river so we had lots of fun watching all the diverse boat traffic travelling through. Our kids had a great time and it was a great home base for us.
But even more special was the way Larry was so helpful, accommodating and thoughtful. I heard some others call him uncle Larry, and I say that’s the way my kids would see Larry as after spending a few days there. Just enjoyable hanging out with him.
Thanks again Larry for hosting us.
Larry was an excellent host!! My family had an excellent time at his property and enjoyed the outstanding hospitality. Great views of the river and watching the big boats go by is so relaxing while sitting on the dock. We were treated as family and enjoyed meeting other boondockers here at the same time. Host is very well traveled and has lots of amazing stories to tell. Will definitely return end of this year when we are back down!
Larry was a great host. He went well above the average to make us feel at home. Beautiful river view form his backyard. We enjoyed hearing about his many adventures.
Thanks Larry for a great time.
Larry was an excellent host. Very generous making our stay so enjoyable. Would highly recommend this spot. The river view was an added bonus. :)
This was our first boondocking experience and it was wonderful. I could repeat all the previous comments, this site was beyond what I would have ever expected. Larry was most accommodating and he made us feel so "at home", we didn't want to leave. We will always remember our stay and Larry's hospitality. Hope to meet up with him again.
Larry is a very generous friendly host and his property is on a beautiful river. We would definitely plan to stay with Larry again if we are in the area and his sites are available.
Larry is as gracious a host as you will ever encounter! Super friendly and hospitable. The property is an absolutely gorgeous place with frontage along the Caloosahatchee (sp?) river, and even a place to drop a fishing line into it! The specific location where we setup on the property had plenty of shade, had some well manicured grass (nicely cut with no stickers) and was mostly level for an easy setup. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or two to watch the amazing boats that come by on the river. 5 stars!
We will be leaving Larry’s place tomorrow morning. If we had not reserved and paid at a campground, we would have gladly stayed longer in this little piece of paradise! Larry is a wonderful host and a great storyteller. His property is beautiful by the river with big old trees, and so well maintained… the space is vast, the views are peaceful, the time seems to stop when staying here. Larry is a very generous man. He installed 30 amp electricity to accommodate two campsites, and don’t worry - the space is so vast you will not be close to your neighbour! We had a wonderful time here and if we come back to this area, we will surely come back here. We highly recommend Larry’s boon docking place.
Larry is awesome and laid back. The river site was beautiful and the our host went over and above to make our stay pleasurable. The river view was relaxing and we hiked daily in the Caloosahatche Region park system. This is one of those places we didn't want to leave. We hope to return someday.

Our RIVERSIDE host was warm and gracious. We greatly enjoyed our time with him!
Larry has an immaculate and beautiful spot on the river, and welcomed us in like long lost family. We had a perfect view for watching passing boats and observing the operating swing bridge, and really enjoyed Larry's company. We couldn't have had a nicer first boondockers experience. Thank you again!!
This was our first boondocker experience and I think we are now spoiled for the rest. Larry is so generous and friendly. We are travelling with 3 dogs and he let them run on his property. The site is open and level and is located on a beautiful river. We would definitely stay here again.
One of a kind both location and host. We were spoiled to pieces. Larry is a very kind soul who loves life and is enjoyable to spend time with and will not be forgotten. Only hope is we will see him again some day either at his home or ours.
Thank you .
Larry is the ultimate host, he treats you like family! I only wish I had planed to stay a little longer!! Thanks again!!
Nice warm weather break and it is just as the pictures show. Clean, quiet and peaceful.
We were so lucky to have stayed at Larry’s. He has everything you could ever need and he is just so generous. It’s a great location by the river in a peaceful & friendly neighbourhood. Our dog Daisy had the best day ever. He showed us such a great time that we’ll never forget. I’m sure we’ll be back, if he’ll have us ... ; j

Wow, exceptionally beautiful spot to park with Power and water! A great view and a host we all dream about! The host is friendly, kind, accommodating and a great story teller. He’s traveled a lot and is very knowledgeable and fun to talk with. Thank you for letting us stay with you it was an immense pleasure.
Larry was tentative at first as it was our first boondockers experience. That being said he was welcoming and generous. He had a wonderful place. Plus he made us so welcome we stayed an extra night, then we stayed another extra night. He told us about his travels and shared some hot coffee with us on a chilly evening. I could not say enough to recommend him and his space. He definitely spoiled us for our first time using the site.
Larry was a great host. He was very welcoming and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here if you have an opportunity. Larry is full of great adventure stories.
Larry is a great host. He let use his kayaks, stay longer than requested... the list goes on. We spent Christmas there. Met a bunch of his friends and had a fabulous time.
He makes you feel welcome, and we enjoyed listening to his stories about traveling, about pranks between friends..Interesting and funny!
The place itself is a piece of paradise, next to the river. Peaceful and pretty.
All in all, we cannot say enough good about this stay. We came as strangers and he welcomed us as friends.
It is our first boondockerwelcome and i am afraid it is spoiling us!
Thank you Larry, we are very grateful to you

On our arrival, Imccollim made us feel extremely welcome and it just got better from there. He is a man of many talents who is happy to share his knowledge and only too willing to help and point you in the right direction in your travels. We stayed in a beautiful shaded spot in front of his home on the Caloosahatchee River. He loaned us his kayaks for a paddle down the river, dropped us off, picked us up and really spoilt us. He is very easy going and likes a chat, it’s just a shame we were not able to stay longer.
Imccollim is a weatlth of knowledge on travelling around the world. We had a great night listening to his adventures. Thanks.
Spent a few days with this outstanding host. Very knowledgeable, excellent conversationalist, and a world wide traveler. Placed my rig within 10 feet of the canal and watched the boàts & bridge operations. Stop by and visit, you will not be disappointed.
Larry is a great host that is very helpful and imaginative. His place is beautiful and peaceful and we had a great visit.
This was our 2nd time staying with Imccollim and it was as good as the first. He was flexible with our flexible schedule and I tell all the people that stay with us about his parking spot right along the caloosahatchee river.
Thanks again L!!!
This property was beautiful! We had a great spot right on the river, complete with a hammock and fishing dock! Our host was unbelievably generous and welcoming! We stayed two nights and our children cried when it was time to leave! Another camper was there with their small child and we had fun spending time with them! It did not feel like we were at a stranger's home for two nights! We were visiting our uncle in Florida! Haha
We would definitely come back again if ever in the area!
What a wonderful boondocking location and generous host! Larry made us feel so welcome; offering us a 2 night stay at the shore of his lovely riverfront home. We were not the only ones overnighting there but both his property and generosity are so big, everyone was very comfortable. Our dog Sonny really enjoyed the 2 days off leash and again we thank Larry for embracing all of us. This host will make you feel like you spent a day with your favorite Uncle Larry! Highly recommend a stay but wish we could keep this secret for ourselves!
Regret the late posting of this recommendation as we have had limited cell/wifi coverage during our travels. So happy to post it now! Thanks Larry!
We can't say enough nice things about our stay with lmccollim. We really enjoyed our time and great conversations. The property is beautiful. In all, a great place and amazing host!
It was a very quiet and nice place. Lmccollim is a great host and he was very generous of his time.
We were in a bind looking for a place to overnight on our way to Miami and I reached out only in the evening. Lmcollim got back to me within an hour and opened his beautiful yard to us. He was very friendly also with my boy and my dog. We are very thankful for the hospitality we were offered.
This host offered us a simply beautiful site on a river that had yachts and fish boats passing by. He is a great friendly host and storyteller of his extensive rv travels. In the time we spent Larry went above and beyond to even take us to a rodeo and show us around a very interesting community. We know we have found a new friend.
Imccollim is a terrific host!! Very generous and helpful. Accommodations are so very relaxing and peaceful, it is just incredible. Wonderful place and wonderful host.
Had a very nice stay, at a beautiful place. Kids loved it and so did we! If ever in Holland Imcollim, come over and boondock with us!
Imccollim was out on an adventure of his own but left us with easy instructions and contact info. We were warmly greeted by the neighbor. Larry has a great slice of property right along the caloosahatchee river! We had kayaks and he made a great put in for paddlers. He was even kind enough to offer a shuttle up to Labelle and we were able to paddle downriver back to his property. He is a great example of the perfect boondockers host. May his good hospitality be a lessen for us all. See you soon!
He is a really wonderful and welcoming host. And he has a great piece of land he gladly shares with other travellers! Near the river, the view is beautiful. Really quiet. He always has interesting stories to tell about his travels. It was nice meeting you lmccollim. Hope we meet again.
What a great stay, we parked by this beautiful river, enjoyed the lovely company of our host and spent beautiful quiet nights on the property. The scenery was so beautiful I had to take a bunch of pictures. Thank you so much for letting us stay it'll be a stay to remember.
Larry is a world traveler with endless adventures to share and his home on the river is just perfect. I'll be back soon.
We stayed with this member at his property by the river, he could not be a more hospitable host. We felt very welcome
and got along very well and enjoyed his stories about his travels with his beloved dog "Goldie" just a bit sad that we
didn't get to meet Goldie and very obvious that he missed her so much. On a brighter note, you need to take your sense of humor with you as he had us in stitches laughing at times, well most of the time. It was wonderful to meet a man in his sixties who is so house proud, he keeps his home spotless both inside and out as he does his motorhome.
We thank you so much MATE!
