Our family enjoys the great out doors and being on the open road.
We’ve owned an RV for the past 6 years and have enjoyed the freedom of traveling. We’ve put thousands of miles going up and down the west coast and throughout Canada. Throughout the travels I’ve learned how to fix a multitude of problems that have arose while in the middle of nowhere.
We have two dogs that we take with us whenever possible.
Well, we just found this site in 2021 so most of our boondocking has been in Walmart parking lots. With small children it hasn’t always been the best experience. Looking forward to safer environments.
Coeur d’Alene ID is where we call home.

We were the best kind of host we weren’t there. But these folks were very kind with their communications. They camped well I am sure that they would be a blessing wherever they go. You may come back again and again and again. Enjoy your travels and hosts enjoy these folks as your guests.
Jazzer has a really nice open space behind his barn that is flat and secluded. The location is excellent and centerally located to explore the CDA area.
Met Jazzer briefly. He was a friendly and gracious host.
We would definately requrest to stay here again.
Hosts were very accommodating and the location was very quiet and we slept well.
We spent a very quiet and private night at Open Field. While many services and resources were close by and easy to access, this spot provided welcome peace and quiet. Win/win!
Fabulous! Quiet and peaceful location. Host recommendations for things to do were spot on! Looking forward to visiting again. No issues with 39 ft Motorhome and Jeep.
Such a warm and welcoming family. Close to all the action but quite at night. The hosts made our stay so lovely! Thank you again!
Easy parking. Flat area away from house. Awesome host. Gave me some recommendations of where to go in town since I had no idea what I was doing.
Nice, quiet place to stay. Great place for exploring the Coeur d'alene area.
Just what i was looking for. A hassel free easy night to park and sleep. Bonus was beautiful location and sunshine.
Jared was a a gracious and awesome host. Would highly recommend him again.
Easy access pull-through spot looks out on a pretty surrounding field. Unfortunately missed a chance to speak with out hosts, but had a nice stay in Coeur d’ Alene. Got to watch a huge group of wild turkeys see us on our way as we departed. Thanks again for the quiet place to rest!
Great location and beautiful area! Our kids enjoyed watching deer in the yard. Great hosts!
Had a wonderful stay. It is a very nice neighborhood, great easy place to park with some really nice views- horses on the pasture and some wildlife that makes their way through the open field <abundance of turkies and deers>. And our host was extremely accommodating and super nice.
We really enjoyed our stay. Jazzer came out to introduce himself and helped us fill up with water. He also made several good suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The detailed directions made it easy to find this home. We had views of trees and mountains and were able to watch the horses. There were also several momma dear and their babies which were adorable. We were sad that didn't have more time to stay and visit!
Wonderful host, wonderful kids and wonderful spot. We had no problems with our 30 ft 5th Wheel and truck.
Jazzer is a great host, very communicative and offers a lot of local tips! The site is open, level and easy to set up in with great local wildlife viewing opportunities. A great BW experience!
Our stay was seamless and we thoroughly enjoyed that the spot was level, we didn't have to unhook, and we had beautiful scenery, as they had just gotten in some horses. Our pup enjoyed playing with their dog and they made perfect suggestions for restaurants, coffee, and a local grocery store where we could get yummy gluten free pastries. If we are back in this area we hope they have availability and we can spend more time exploring the area:-) Thanks so much!
Jazzers place is exactly what my wife and I are looking for while traveling down the road for overnight accommodations, it’s a quiet, friendly place at the end of the road parked in a field with trees and deer.We loved our stay at open field and would love to come back if they’ll have us!
Nice quite ranch with lots of wildlife. Host was extremely helpful Great host.
Wonderful host and had lots of tips to give us about the area. The location is ideal with tons of space, quiet, in close proximity to Hayden lake and Coeur D Alene. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Have a great time visiting family in Idaho and our host could not have been any more accommodating. Easy to get in and out with a different driveway for the Boondockers to use. We often came in late from visiting relatives and didn’t disturb them or the neighbors. I highly recommend this stop for anyone wanting to visit this area. Watch out for deer they are everywhere all around the neighborhood.
This host went from accepting our request, to family. Wow.
First off the basics. Great location for the region, east to get to and to get into. He mowed a spot just for us in the field and provided more amenities than he listed.
Next his kids played with ours, which lead to conversation and asking questions. Which lead to us sharing a meal together, more than once.
Which lead to meeting his family, and staying in touch after we left.
You will not regret staying at this location at all. Just do me a favor, and treat them and their property with respect, this is my family now.
They are absolutely delightful.
Great location and private setting that is easy to access and enjoy. Courteous hosts
Jazzer and his family were above and beyond accommodating for our stay, allowing us to arrive early and stay late to maximize our short stay in the CDA area. They provided us with recommendations on what to do and where to eat that were perfectly spot on and we enjoyed everything they suggested. The property is SO close to Hayden Lake, and the space out back is wide open with deer and wild turkeys running through every day.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience, thanks SO much to Jazzer, we'll be back!!
Host was happy to accommodate us (2 big rigs and a van meeting up). He made a quick visit to meet us when we arrived but otherwise we were free to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are deer and turkey in the field where we parked. Ask for local recommendations for food and fun; they pointed us to some good spots.
We had asked to stay at Jazzer's property several days ago, but it ended up being full. Then, to our great luck and surprise, he messaged us on the day we wanted to stay to let us know the other guest had cancelled. We were grateful and jumped at the chance to stay at his property, which is perfectly situated for our activities in the area. Jazzer mentioned that due to the heat wave, all guests for the next several days had cancelled. As a result, we ended up asking to stay a second night, which he ok'd, and which made our Saturday easier than it would have been if we had had to move and set up again. Bottom line, Jazzer couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. Great host!
We are very thankful for the hospitality from our host Jazzer! The drive in and onto their property was very easy in our 42’ 5er. Huge, quiet open field facing a mountain and super close to the lake. It was a great stay!
Jazzer was an awesome host! He communicated well on directions and arrival and departure times… And just an all around great person to meet! Our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer. The property is beautiful and the surrounding community is quite a gem! We can’t wait to plan our next trip out to stay at Open Field!
Jazzer has a gorgeous lot that is easy to find from I -90. He is very friendly and accommodating. I wish I could have stayed longer. 5 stars
The place is an amazing place with plenty of space to park and set your R.V. or travel trailer and with a wonderful view.
What we appreciate it the most, however, was the host. Jazzer definitely went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ensure we had a restful and enjoyable stay.
We sent the stay request a day before our stay (last minute thing) and Jazzer accepted our request with no hesitation and almost immediately. Additionally, when I mention I was having issues with my refrigerator, he offered to assist and take a look at it. He also provided an extension cord so that we could connect our fright.
We highly recommend this place and will definitely consider staying at Open Field if we are in that area again.
Stayed here one night while enroute home. The site was on a 2 acre lot. Most lots in the area were the same or more. Many with horses. Very close to US 95. Easy to find and navigate. Host communicated well while we were traveling.
