If you are having trouble with a knitting or crocheting project that you took with you on the road, Marie can give pointers (pardon the pun).
We dabble in acrylics.
5 cats who travel with us. Indoor cats while on the road.
And 1 dog who is leashed and we pick up after her.
We sometimes boondock at Walmarts for the convenience of replenishing Supplies, but boondocking with hosts is our favourite because it’s about making new friends all across Canada.
Home base near Saint Stephen, New Brunswick Easternmost gateway between Atlantic Canada and the eastern Seaboard of the US.
2015 35 foot Shadow Cruiser travel trailer, 2 slides. Collecting stickers from places we have camped. Towed by a 2001 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab.
MaM, are very friendly and welcoming people. They have a great setup for boondocking. Their extended family (grandson plus 5 cats and a very nice dog) were all great to be around. Would not hesitate to visit them again
Again tks MaM.
MnM welcomed us heartful and M even surpised us with his german roots and language skills. Getting greeted by their cats and their puppy Storm was overwhelming. We were provided with power, water and a possibility to dump and had some very nice chats. As we couldn't have asked for more, we were farewelled with hot coffee and tea. Perfect stay just before crossing the border to the US. Thank you very much MnM for having us, made it hard to leave Canada for now.
We had such a nice time on our first visit, we stopped again on our way back!
We are so pleased with your kind and heartwarming reception and hospitality. Our first time Boondocking was an amazing experience because of you.
Thank you for your kindness and your stories and sharing your experiences.
We wish you all the best and many great adventures.
Cheers
Extremely warm and welcoming hosts. Friendly and gracious. We had some very interesting conversations. They had lots of info about rv'ing to share. My wife loved their cats, especially Ricky!!!
We had a great stay at MnM’s. We were lucky to have power, water and a sani-dump at their location. Mike and Marie were great hosts.
We booked in for two nights and MnM were awesome! They provided support to guide me in for parking- which really helps strengthen my backing up skills! The gave us space but also invited us to visit and even let us stay an extra day due to Inclement weather and because we enjoyed their company so much! Bonus is they not only have power but they also have a dumping station! Highly recommend and thanks you two!
Trip ‘n Daisy
Very welcoming couple. Good knowledge of plants. Lots of helpful traveling information. We enjoyed our visit with them.
Marie & Mike were waiting for us with welcoming hearts. These people are good folks. We enjoyed the county fair with them and took Mike’s advice on things to do and see. Minister’s Island is a must. We definitely will stop by and visit with them again.
Wonderful hosts who were so welcoming as we were finishing our mini trip in New Brunswick and hiding out from Hurricane Dorian! Enjoyed a nice visit during the rain and wind and had some good conversation. Would definitely stay again! Thanks Morningside Spirit!
Our stay at Windy Ridge was delightful. Our hosts were so accommodating and very friendly.
We enjoyed getting to know them and the stories they shared.
The location is so quiet and the stars at night so brilliant.
Would highly recommend this location.
What an interesting couple. Enjoyed visiting them and the cats. Appreciated the generosity from these new friends.
We were just a quick overnight at Morningside spirit. They have a lovely place and made us feel very welcome. Great help getting us into our spot and set up. Their accommodations are top notch, full hook up and WiFi. Shared a lovely glass of wine and made quick friends.
If you are looking for a quiet place in the country with warm and friendly hosts, then this just might be the spot for you.
We were warmly greeted upon arrival, and our host worked extra hard helping me back into his driveway from the road and back into our site. The backing in was a bit technical with my 30 ft 5th wheel but we were well rewarded for my efforts.
You are very close to Saint Andrews from here, and it is a great spot to have as a base camp while looking around in this area. Hopefully our paths will cross again some day. Hopefully our host will come to Georgia. We would love to see them again. Great people. Great fun. We highly recommend them.
We had a great weekend at Windy Ridge with Morningside Spirits. They were great hosts and we shared some wine and stories. They are a real inspiration. Breakfast, looking out at their gardens was lovely. Their space is right beside their house and was set up for their rig, so it has every amenity. When you arrive, stop on the road and walk in, as you will have to back in to the spot from the road. Your host will help you and you will have cat supervisors. It is a bit tricky, but well worth it when you get situated- quiet and scenic. You are a half hour drive away from St. Andrews, where we spent a full day. The spot is ten to fifteen minutes to St. Stephen, and the coast.
Great couple. We only got to visit a little bit as we had a busy schedule. The place is back on a side road but it's paved. We where able to get turned around, but you would not want a really large camper as it was tight for us, but we managed very nicely once we got turned around. Hook Up was better then most camp grounds. Very friendly people, came out to chat with us when we returned from our whale watching adventure. Would love to stay there again. Also they have 2 cats that where also very friendly and came and visit with us also. Great Place.
Great couple enjoyed a glass of wine with them after they helped us get into the perfect level position for a nice quiet evening. Stayed hooked up and ready to go in morning. Short but sweet stay.
We had a very restful stay with our generous and welcoming hosts after sharing a red wine. The site was level, easily accessed and well serviced with concise location directions. We enjoyed our stay and hope one day to reciprocate in NZ. Thanks MM - we never got to sample the biscuits - another day. Thanks also for the video link.

It was once again a pleasure being treated to a stay at Windy Ridge. Talking about traveling, cats and herbal remedies, what could be better than that? Thanks!
We found this host location with no trouble, paying attention to the instructions. Easy to maneuver into after unhooking towed. Spent an enjoyable few hours chatting with these two. The location is within driving distance (about an hour) to tourist locations in St. Andrews and St John. And minutes away from the chocolate museum at St Stephen and the US / Canadian Border.
Would request to stay here again.
I stayed with Mike and Marie two nights, enjoying the remoteness and quiet of Atlantic Canada. They are friendly, outgoing folk and offering a great space (water, electric and sewer) as well as local information. Good place to spend some time. Thanks to both of them.
Mike & Marie are wonderful hosts that invited into their home upon arrival for an very enjoyable conversation. Mike is a hard working man & he truly wants to make your stay comfortable. Marie is simply an amazing doll of a Lady. A lot of fun to converse with.
On Sunday I attended a very simple but nice non-denominational church. I recommend the St. Croix Vineyard Church if you are inclined to do that.
Thank you Mike & Marie for being terrific hoists.
WARNING; In 2018 I traveled across Ontario from Sault Ste Marie to Lewiston, NY, near Niagara Falls, NY & my Garmin GPS worked fine. This trip into New Brunswick, NE Canada my Garmin GPS locked up a few miles from the border. I researched this & discovered that you have download the Canada maps if you own the US Version.
Happy Trails,

Convenient location not far off the main highway. Nice friendly couple. Interesting conversations. Now that the weather us getting warmer I presume it will knock down the black flies as they were a little hungry yet when we were there. We are used to black flies as they were just getting started at home when we left.
Morningside are a warm welcoming couple, (along with their furred friends).
We were made to feel at home by cats and humans, there's nothing like having a kitty help you set up your rig! We had some great conversations and shared stories of places seen and things done. We certainly hope to see them again!
We had a great night and really enjoyed our stay. Mike and Marie are very friendly hosts. We can definitely recommend to stay at their place.
We really enjoyed our stay with MnM. They have a nice quiet place right in the middle of nature! We spent some time chatting about their area and rv stories. We’re hoping to stop with them again on our return trip.
Our hosts were very accommodating and friendly. We hope they will stop in Nova Scotia sometime.
What nice people and the a wonderful place to stay and rest. Thanks so much Morningside Spirit
A wonderfully quiet place with very nice people. We were received very open and friendly. Thank you for allowing us to be with you. We like to remember you.
This is our second stay with Mike and Marie. I can't say enough good things about this couple! Friendly, generous, caring, helpful and fun are just a few!!!!!! They make you feel like family but also give you space and privacy too. Love these guys!
Great hosts, great location. We had some breakdown issues and they went above and beyond to assist and comfort us! Wonderful.
Can’t thank you enough Morningside Spirit!

M & M will always be our friends. We were so glad to be able to pass through again, and to sit down and have some good chats and good times with them. We couldn’t believe that 12 days had come and gone so quickly, and here we are leaving again. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts when crossing the boarder. They are so knowledgeable, friendly and giving. We look forward to coming back during the maple harvest in the future. If you’re headed this way, make sure you don’t miss out on getting to know this couple and their kitties.
This was a great stay! Our hosts were super great at prompt communication and directions and the spot was easy to back into and level with easy access to hookups. They live on a beautiful piece of property with an abundance of wildflowers and herbs as well as wild blackberries, blueberries and even apples! Their little forest provided a wonderful hike and we even got a lesson in maple tapping. The Ganong Chocolate museum (with tastings) is work the drive into town. Thanks so much for an awesome visit!
What can we say about M & M to do this justice. Some of the nicest, most genuine people you'll meet on the road. Pretty much what you would expect from anyone you stay with in Canada. They welcomed us into their home and their lives, and gave us tips and advice that we were really grateful for. If you're looking to stop just before or after the border, this is the place to do it. Plus there are full hook-ups, which doesn't come along everyday. We can't wait to come back, and pick some more fresh wild blueberries.
We had a wonderful wonderful stay with Mike and Marie. Location is great with Full Hookups! We had wonderful conversations and the kids enjoyed the yard and learning about different plants and Mike showed them how he makes maple from the trees. Very close to St Andrews and easy to get there and out. Was our first boondockers welcome experience and it was surly great. We hope we could see Mike and Marie again one day.
This was a great place to boondock with all the amenities one could ask for. Our hosts greeted us warmly when we arrived and invited us in for a cup of tea. We really enjoyed our visit and would love to stay here again in the future.
Really nice people. We had talks for hours.
Artsy crafty of the land couple.
I will be staying in touch and returning there. Great stay.
Mike and Marie were friendly, generous hosts! Full hookups on a beautiful property. Will definitely visit them again!
We really enjoyed boondocking at Little House on the Ridge. M & M are a fun couple. And we were in awe of the many interesting projects they have going on. They generously provide all RV amenities and are close to St. Stephen and the US border. We also enjoyed a round at the St. Stephen's golf club. If you"re looking to golf in NB, ask about the 2 for 1 card.
Mike & Marie met us in the driveway. Water & hydro hook ups were very convenient. Very generous folks. We would definitely recommend these hosts.
We had a great stay with Morningside Spirit! Friendly and helpful folks with a great site! Would definitely stay again if in the area!
Mike and Marie were very helpful, we were provided with wifi, electricity etc., we were there for a short time, but learned a lot about herbs from Marie, we are now both on nettle tea. The time spent with you guys was too short, hope you do come and visit soon. Its only a day drive!
We enjoyed our stay here, and they were very gracious hosts! Had a tour of their herb garden and they gave us some mint for tea which we thoroughly enjoyed. As an added bonus, they have full hook-ups, and if you want peace and quiet this is the place to go!
we had a wonderful stay with Mike and Marie. Fascinating conversations and warm hospitality. Hope we can reciprocate.
We know Mike & Marie and they introduced us to Boondockers and other travelling options. They are an energetic friendly couple and we hope to enjoy their hosting for a night or two before we do the Cross Canada trip in 2019! We are excited to join the group and host others based on their recommendations! Thanks Mike & Marie! Happy trails! Trip 'n Daisy
