We had a great stay in Visalia. We met the host upon arrival and she helped us out by assisting with the parking area.
You park behind a gated fence that provides absolute seclusion from the street. Although we didn’t take advantage of the pool or hot tub is was readily available.
Visalia has everything you need in a town including 4 breweries, which we hit up. We also took a long day trip to Kings Canyon and then Sequoia NP. I recommend you do Kings Canyon first and then Sequoia. Makes a lot easier drive.
Back to our host location. Because of my rig set up I needed 50ft of water hose and 25 feet of sewer hose. Just be aware of that. I made a hose change during our stay and inadvertently connected up to the hot water hose bib. We couldn’t understand why the cold water was as hot as the hot water in the rig. Being an rv’er is a never ending learning experience! Lol.
PS: cold bib is on the right, duh.
Everything is exactly as described, AND more. This is a beautiful place and we are so thankful for our hosts' most kind and generous use of their parking pad.
We had so many chores to catch up on in town, and this location is perfect. Anything you could possibly need is within five miles.
Also, from here you are less than 50 miles from Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.
Be sure to follow the arrival directions you are given. It is very important to arrive at the house going in the right direction for positioning your rig properly for backing in.
All the glowing reviews that you have read for Dschulz are all true. Thank you for a wonderful restful rejuvenating stay.
Secure, flat, and beautiful! I did not need any hook ups but they were available.
And now about the hosts; D&D are truly folks who talk and walk in the way they live a life of service to others. I enjoyed a good evening conversation, sat with my feet dangling in their pool, and was able to use their poolside shower before heading out in the morning.
Side note: I was a day late due to a leaf spring break on the highway (Sunday, no garage open) They were reassuring and they kept in contact with me throughout.
Really nice location on way to Yosemite. Hosts are very nice and they have a great side yard which is fenced and private (and even hookups!).
We are towing a 24 ft. travel trailer and at first it seemed like a challenge to back into the driveway, but our host was so helpful in guiding us so we were perfectly situated. This is a safe, quiet, gated location with total privacy in a suburban subdivision. There is a pool in the backyard, as pictured, and even WiFi available! There is a Costco 10 minutes away, and Sequoia National Park 45 minutes away. Gateway to the Sequoias was a great stopover for us on our way north. We are very grateful to this kind host!
The hosts are very caring and thoughtful. If I ever go through Visalia again, I would definitely stay there. A great place with full hookups in a safe location.
This was our first stay through Boondockers Welcome and it was a great one! Dale and Debbie are exceptional hosts, warm and welcoming, with a backyard paradise including a lovely covered patio, hot tub, and in-ground swimming pool. Parking is behind a privacy gate and is wide and level with full hookups, (including sewer!) provided for a nominal fee. We will be staying here again next week!
Great hospitality, wonderful hosts, and a great place to stay! Our children loved the swimming pool and the outdoor shower was great too!
The hosts were warm and welcoming. The spot was concrete, level, full hookups and gated. We took a trip to Sequoia NP, the host is about 45mins from the visitor center. Thanks for an awesome BDW experience!!
Hosts provide a great BoonDockersWelcome experience. The level, secure space with all the additional features cannot be beat. Hosts are very nice people and very generous to offer their space so close to the park.
A wonderful place to stay. Our host were absolutely great and have a perfect location. Our son loved the pool. It was simply a fantastic experience.
The hosts were so fun to meet and chat with! They welcomed us in and were so helpful. They were very sweet to the kids as well and made them feel so comfortable to play. The spot is awesome! Full hook ups and a beautiful backyard with a pool and all paved so the kids loved playing in it. It's on the road that goes right into Sequoia National Park and was one the most incredible things to do. The drive is gorgeous. The spot is paved and flat. Our big class A 36fter fit. The water and dump are at the very back of the site and raised off the ground so I do recommend having extra hose for dump and water. Plenty of room to unhook the tow on the street right before turning on to their street. Thank you sooooo much for hosting us!! God Bless!
Debora and dale were literally some of the best hosts we’ve met yet! Huge drive way (takes some skill to park in it though) they have a beautiful backyard, out door bathroom and showers, water, 30amp and a dump station!
They’re so much fun and really great to talk to!
Next time we’re in the area we will definitely stop by again!
Thanks again for opening your home for us 😊
Our hosts were so gracious. We had great conversations, a very nice back yard to relax in, a few parks to walk to nearby. The bathroom was a nice addition for showering especially. We are thankful that they enjoy sharing their home.
We were lucky enough to be Dschulz first BDW guests. They were very welcoming and gave us access to power, water, and a dump. There was also a hot tub which was fantastic after a long day spent at Sequoia NP. Using their poolside shower was a welcome change after showering in the trailer usually. Neighborhood has a park right down the street and great for taking our dog on walks. Highly recommend going to Sequoia/Kings Canyon NPs, about 45 min to the foothills visitor center. Also recommend checking out the Slick Rock Recreation area and the Dry Creek Preserve for nearby beautiful scenery to take a stroll in. Thank you again!
