We traveled full-time in our rig for over 2 years. We recently moved into an a very active 55-plus community in Florida for the winter months and continue to travel full-time in the Summer and Fall,, with the goal of visiting all of the National Parks (we have visited 30 so far). We have an inflatable kayak to use enroute. DarLene is a veteran of the US Navy. Bill served in the Peace Corps in Kenya.
Bill loves pickleball, archery, Mexican train dominoes, card games, and bocce ball. He enjoys kayaking and loves new adventures. DarLene enjoys taking classes, writing stories, planting gardens, bocce ball, miniature golf and games. Together we can make some mean deviled eggs.
We have one dog that is a Snocker (part schauzer, part cocker) named Spatz who is happiest eating and riding in the truck. He's not a barker, loves walks. and is friendly to everyone.
Our primary boondocking sites are Walmart and Cabelas, from the East Coast to the West Coast. We loved being out west, in particular Utah, Arizona, California, Washington, and North and South Dakota. We plan on trying BLM camping this year.
Bill was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, while DarLene was born and raised in Johnstown, PA. Our home now is in Ocala, FL. Otherwise, our home is wherever the truck and rig happen to be.
Our rig is a 2007 Keystone Montana with 3 slideouts. We pull with a 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty Diesel.
Stay went well and they got along wel with my other BW guests who were already at my site. They had rain while they were here so they did not get to experience the beautiful area much. They are welcome back anytime.
I hosted Drmom43556 for 3 nights. They were an interesting and very appreciative of their host couple. They will be welcome back anytime they wish to do so.
We hosted Drmom43556 three nights and enjoyed talking with them. Unfortunately, we had to be out of town two of those nights, but they are from the area and, although this was their first Boondockers Welcome stay, were able to be self sufficient. We look forward to visits with them in the future!
