We are a retired couple who enjoys the outdoors and traveling this great country. Sometimes we travel light in our pickup with a camper shell on the bed, and other times we travel with our hybrid travel trailer. I (Larry) enjoy refurbishing old trailers and sometimes building my own campers. We volunteer with the Missouri Department of Conservation. We don't like traveling with reservations because we enjoy spur of the moment decisions on what direction we will travel, or which roads we might take. We do like remote campsites and enjoy boondocking. We are both in our 70's and have two daughters and two grandchildren.

FIRST TIME BOONDOCKING

Wonderful host and a great experience. Host is very knowledgeable and helpful. He has a great set up and our stay was great. Would highly recommend staying here if you are ever in the area.

I Was The First

I was lyoungjcmo's first guest. They are beyond perfect hosts. They made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. When I first arrived, I got a tour of the property, which is gorgeous. They have beautiful gardens, a comfortable covered patio that looks over a goldfish pond and multiple trails throughout. Their property is mostly woods at the end of a cul-de-sac. It was very quiet: away from all traffic and train noise. If I ever return to the Columbia, MO area, I would absolutely stay again.
