We spent 2 nights at Jacksnut and we have to say awesome. Awesome locale. Awesome host. Love the view and hope to come back some time again
We didn’t ever get to stay at jacks, but he was prompt and easy to talk to about our evolving plans. We ended up making too slow progress on the date we were to stay and leapfrogged over rhe next. He encouraged us to take a scenic route which was beautiful amd a lot of fun.
Great stop on your warmth the Tetons. Jack's great views prepare your heart for the reathtaking Tetons. Jack is a very friendly host with good info about the area.
Our host welcomed us and let us know where we could park along with National Forest campgrounds in the area. So after exploring we opted to move to a spot on the Green River. However his view of the mountains and knowledge of the area was impressive.
We requested to stay one night at the Painted Cow Ranch, and Jack confirmed back really quickly.
Upon arrival, Jack met us and showed us where we could park, there is load of room and many options. He was kind enough to give us some really great tips about camping in the area.
The view is spectacular, we left our shades open and woke up to sunrise with a mountain backdrop.
Thanks again, Jack! (we are on our way to Jenny Lake now!)
Big thanks to Jack! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, your hospitality was much appreciated! We will definitely stop again someday!
Jack told us about a beautiful drive up past Lake Fremont that we really enjoyed. Would stop here any time we are going through the area.
We had a great stay with Jack on his property. Jack greeted us at the driveway and gave us options on where to park. It was very easy to find and had plenty of room for rigs of all sizes. We shared some great conversation and Jack was very helpful with recommendations for the surrounding area. He had two very friendly dogs that our daughter enjoyed playing with. We recommend a stay here and would stay again if in the area. Thanks Jack!
We had a wonderful time and hope Jack can make it to GA sometime. Thanks for the hospitality and the play time with the dogs.
Easy to find, lots of space, nice host. Great location on the way to/from Yellowstone or the Tetons!
Really enjoyed our time here! Jack's place is lovely and he is very welcoming. Also a wealth of information on where to go and what to do around there. Only gave ourselves two days to explore the area but I think we will have to go back, so much more to see and do. Thanks again Jack for your hospitality!
Quick response from Jacksnuts, plenty of level parking on site, and we appreciated the plug-in during winter weather. Thank you....
We enjoyed visiting with Jacksnuts during our ATVing/Eclipse Viewing trip.
We had had planned to go to Wyoming to view the eclipse in August. Jack had accepted our request to host us. Jack was very helpful advising us the best routes since the traffic was probably going to be crazy for days around the eclipse. It turned out we were unable to make it to Jack's, but we appreciate his help and hope we can make it back there in the future.
We were welcomed on the property for the eclipse and had a great time. Bonfires were made at night to learn about the others that were also staying. His dogs were so friendly and well behaved. We were sorry we had to leave so suddenly but were on a tight schedule for this leg of travel. Highly recommended stopover.
We enjoyed staying with Jack for the 2 nights. Our shared experiences with Jack, along with another Boondocker couple from the East, made this visit memorable
We would welcome Jack in Australia should he wish to come downunder
Jack greeted us with his coy boy hat and a great big welcoming smile. My husband got a one day fishing pass and fished within three miles of the site.
The second night a very nice couple from Australia came in and joined us with their rig. The third night all five of us got together for a BBQ dinner on site and had a great time. Would highly recommend Jack.
We were thrilled about staying on this man's property! He took us in like we were family. We enjoyed his company so much and even shared a couple dinners at The Den. We could laugh and joke all night! He told us about amazing local sights (and fishing!!) and actually let us stay longer than we intended. His dogs are so sweet we wanted to take them with us! We definitely hope to come back and also hope he visits us down south!! Thanks again Jacksnuts! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Jack was super welcoming and his place was the perfect location to view the solar eclipse. He has plenty of space and level ground to park. It is very peaceful and quiet! His communication was excellent throughout and we had a wonderful time at his home.
What a nice respite after the crowds in Yellowstone! I asked if I could stay 2 nights and like everything else, Jack graciously said yes. He pointed me in the direction of the most incredible lakes for swimming and scenery close to him. I would have enjoyed more time in the area. He was helpful about my travel plans and even helped with a McGiver fix on the camper to keep me going and out of trouble! Easy to get to and set up. Great spot and great host!
We intended to Boondock with Jack but he recommended a nearby BLM campground, right along the river and beautiful. His place is easy to find and very welcoming. Thanks Jack!
We felt right at home but we were just there overnight. Jack was very nice and I would have loved to have been able to hang out for a day but we had to press on. Thank you Jack maybe we can come back for a little longer stay.
Great place to stop heading north or south to Tetons / Yellowstone. Thanks Jack for sharing your place, loved the sunset!
Wonderful stay! Hospitable, friendly, informative, we had a great time. The UFO had us a bit nervous the first night, but we only saw it once. LOL. Great place to Boondock. Hope to see Jack again. Thanks Jack
Beautiful property near Yellowstone and Tetons. I enjoyed getting to know Jack a little. He had great suggestions about the area (gorgeous!). And he was very helpful (with muscle and tools) on a minor van project. Would definitely recommend and I hope to return sometime ( probably not winter for this FL gal though. <emoji>)
Thanks Jack, for making your beautiful property available for boondockers. We and our Dutch visitors enjoyed our stay at your place. Easy access, great 360 views and a friendly host makes a perfect boondockers stopover.
We also appreciated Jack's very quick responses. All around: highly recommended.
Jacknuts was a great host who we both wish we could have spent more time with but unfortunately the great white winter was moving in quick and we were in a rush to get back home. If you have the time (as well as Jack) maybe you'll be lucky to explore the local area with him. Tempted back for a fishing trip! Thanks again Jack for the space and power!
We had a wonderful experience staying with Jack. He was extremely helpful and accommodating and gave us information on the surrounding area. He has a beautiful property with a private site for our rig overlooking he mountains. His property is in close proximity to several beautiful lakes and hikes and is about an hour from Jackson and the Grand Tetons. We even spent a night hanging out around a camp fire with Jack and two other boondockers he was also hosting. We had a great time getting to know Jack and his two playful pups. If we are ever back in the area, we would absolutely visit or stay with him again.
So we asked Jacknuts if we could stay 2 nights to resupply and catch up on laundry...he welcomed us back. On the morning of the 2nd day we lost electricity. Jacknuts saved the day by fixing our converter. We are so grateful for his help as we are new to the RV life scene. We learned alot about our RV and appreciated his hospitality. Thanks Jacknuts, see you again when the road leads us your way.
We stayed for 2 nights while working our way south and Jack was our gracious bw host. He kept us up-to-date before our arrival on area fires and road closures and gave us some great suggestions on truck hikes in the area. If you are passing thru western Wyoming I would highly recommended Jacknuts place as a night stop over.
We stayed here for 1 week and had a very good time. We loved the mountain views and exploring the surrounding area. Within a few minute drive you are at the Green River, which has great hiking. We enjoyed spending time with Jack and his 2 dogs- Dink & Malibu. We will definitely stay again when the road leads us his direction! We feel fortunate to have made a life long friend and recommend him highly.
This was our first experience with boondocking and it was amazing! Jack was so accommodating and knowledgable about the area. He offered us ANYWHERE on his 10 acres of beautiful land to set up camp! Amazing views and a gorgeous sunset surrounded a warm bonfire and great conversation! I highly recommend Jack as a host.
We just spent two delightful nights enjoying the stars and the wide open spaces in Jack's back yard. We took his tip on a beautiful day trip and the scenic route he recommended for our continued journey.
It was a privilege to talk with and learn from this great American. Thanks, Jack, for your hospitality and your service!
We had an issue with our motorhome and we contacted JacksnutsPlus1 to know if we can sleep at his home and use his mail address to receive a package sent from France with some stuff for our motorhome (we are a french family on a big road trip with a french rig). He accepted and received our package and when we arrived at his home, he was really nice with us. He even offered a tour in tracto for our girls. We recommend him.
Had a wonderful stay even though we did not actually stay here. Jack recommended a beautiful free spot down the road on the Green River. Only regret is that we didn't get to spend more time with our hosts!Highly recommend them as hosts.
Jack and Carolyn are simply terrific and their location is amazing! Look forward to hosting them at my home in sunny Florida where the beaches are calling Carolyn's name! ; )
Thanks a million!
As if meeting lovely people like Jack and Caroline weren't enough, there place is in a superb location just outside Grand Tetin N P. Lots of room and very peaceful. We really enjoyed it and know you will too.
