G'day, i'm an Aussie living in the USA for the last 25 years. I've lived all over the mid-west, west of the Mississippi, and have been working in Agriculture. I finally got tired of the rat race and heading out on a 12 month adventure of a lifetime. I'm bringing my two minature shelties, who are both quite old, and maybe a little bit deaf. They love camping, they love napping more. I'm usually a bit of a planner and have contingencies for every work situation. This trip is all about relaxing, seeing the country, meeting people and enjoying what i've worked my butt off for. Keep it between the ditches!
2 minature shelties that are about to turn 16 in June. They are a bit fat, a bit spoiled and a lot deaf, but have been my faithful companions for the last 16 years. I have a little portable yard to keep them contained, and if they get a bit protective of their Mum, they get put inside, until they remember their manners. They only think they are tough, but I never take chances with them. Because they look like little fat lassies... i'm cautious of children coming up to them as they've not really ever been exposed to children and are a little bit nervous around them.
I love to find a little lake or stream, park the camper and set up shop. I love the peace and quiet of being alone with my thoughts, or sitting around a campfire with new and old friends.
I grew up in Canberra, Australia. It's the capital city, a beautiful city and every bit is planned. I moved to the USA to pursue my dreams in 1997. I wanted to travel, grow up and gain some self confidence by learning to be on my own. I had grand dreams of hoping on freight cars and seeing the USA with a backpack... well, that lasted about 3 days, I landed in the mid-west and immediately landed a job in an Irish pub, which lead to a husband, and a career in the Ag industry. I've lived all over the mid-west and now call South Dakota home. I love it, but winters can be a bit brutal. Now that i'm older, wiser and single again, i'm packing up my little camper, my doggies and my truck and heading out for a year long adventure in style. I'm more interested in people and places, than the touristy things. I'd much rather watch a beautiful sunset with a nice glass of wine with my doggies at my side, rather than ride the newest coaster, or see the latest festival. Travelling with my camper allows me to do that... all over this beautiful country.

Bindy stayed with us a few nights and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was a pleasure to have her and she's welcome back anytime.
Nice and considerate woman with two cute and well behaved dogs. Welcome to stay here anytime.
What a great camper! Very capable and a great camping attitude. Short stay but welcome back. Thank you for the encouragement and the geography lessons. Cheers!
Taking time to just sit and chat, swapping stories of our travels and encounters each has experienced, was a much rewarding experience for me. I think the chance of making new friends, ones you know you will stay in touch with long after they have moved on, is why I enjoy hosting so much. This is the case with BindyUSA for sure. The ideal guest to have hosted, she provided an ETA, arrived as expected and set up without issue. She was quiet and respectful of the property and her dogs well behaved. RV gives all three of them two paws up! Highly recommended that you host them.
Until next time we meet - Stay safe my friend and safe travels.
