We had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed our visit and great conversations! We left as friends. I hope they will come and stay with us on their travels some day.
it was our first night with Boondockerswelcome and it couldn't have been better. We were welcomed by extremely warm and friendly hosts. we felt very comfortable. incredibly helpful and warm-hearted. Thank you very much for this experience at this beautiful location. we can only recommend these hosts. it was really very nice with Gary and Cleo. We are impressed by the hospitality. Thank you!
Had a wonderful stay with this host. Had plenty of time to sit and talk really enjoyed our stay and hope to get there again.
Wow! This host and location are awesome! Their country living is stunningly beautiful and Gary & Cleo are the kindest. Thank you for allowing us to stay and visit.
Gary and Cleo are very gracious and friendly hosts. Beautiful setting and easy parking. Walking “Kate’s Trail” made for some nice sunset photos. We highly recommend this site and we will stay here again if the opportunity arises.
We had a great stay, and very much appreciate the hospitality shown. Thank you so much!
One of my FAVORITE Boondocking spot as well as the sweetest Hosts you'll meet.
We arrived early on a Holiday weekend. Lucky to have found any place at all and we stepped out into a beautiful slice of Heaven. There are wild deer everywhere, I'd missed them living at the beach, and a beautifully maintained path to walk your dogs. Our Hostess even gifted us with some of the Best chocolate chip cookies I've had in ages as we took off to our next location. We will definitely put this one on our MUST stop list when we go through SD next time.
Thank you for the stay! Lovely property! Hosts were accommodating as we had to arrive in the evening. Very easy pull in and the host directed us with lights. Thanks again!
Lovely couple, shady space, great visiting, and felt very welcome 🎶💕
Most beautiful stay we've had so far. So quiet, conveniently located and beautiful wooded area. The hosts are so kind, welcomed us upon arrival and helped get us settled. They have a little library for the kids and a swing set. It was paradise. Sad we only had 1 night. We will be back.
Our hosts were so very friendly and gracious and their property is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting with them and would love to come back someday.
I was greated with warm smiling faces at the bottom of the driveway and absolutely loved my stay at at this hidden gem just outside of Souix Falls South Dakota. This is a great, quiet, picturesque, well maintained place to stop and visit the area. I so enjoyed the great conversation and visiting with the hosts and greatly appreciate their kindness and hospitality to me along with the 30 Amp hookup during my stay! As Murphys law would have it, I had 3 things go wrong with my new to Me Mountainaire by Newmar and thought I'd have to go to an RV dealer to fix them, but Gary with his expertise as a jack of all trades took a look at them and fixed then like new. Thank you Gary and Cleo for allowing me to spend an extra night even though you were already booked, I thoroughly enjoyed the visit with the other full time RVers. I highly recommend these hosts at County Acres and hope to stop and visit again in the future!
Loved everything about this boon-docking experience! Hosts were most gracious, greeted us at the end of the driveway, great people!
The set up is rural, quiet, beautiful, very accommodating. Just when I thought boondocking couldn’t get any better, we ran into a gem like this. Exceeded all expectations, can’t wait to go back through.
We found the stay at country acres to be wonderful. The site was shaded and peaceful. Great conversation with the hosts.
Our stay at Country Acres was absolutely perfect. The property was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. W were welcomed with gracious hospitality and look forward to the opportunity to visit again. Thank you so very much to our hosts!
We had a great relaxing time with a wonderful shaded parking spot. Electric hookup and water available.
South Dakota has some really nice folks and our hosts were a perfect example!
Enjoyed visiting and exercising our new puppy Barkansas in their yard.
We would hope to be able to return for a longer visit next time.
What a wonderful spot to rest for the night. Gary and Cleo are the best of Midwest hospitality. The drive through parking with electricity! The beautiful location! It makes one feel guilty to stay without pay but the wonderful couple at Country Acres treat you as if it is their honor to have you stay.
Thanks so much for the sour dough bread Cleo! Oh so good!! I sure hope G and C will stop at Hidden In The Trees next time you head to Texas, I promise a mixture of Southern and Midwest Hospitality to repay your kindness. Baxter will greet you as well!
BW members and hosts- you will enjoy and learn from them.
Although we stayed only one night and left fairly early the next day we both had a great nights sleep. Our only regret is that we didn’t get to spend enough time talking with our hosts. We would definitely stay again.
Gary and Cleo's place is perfect. Nice and quiet wooded property that is very private. The electric hookup was much appreciated by our hot dog! Hope to stay again someday!!
Country Acres is as beautiful as the name sounds. Great location, far enough off the interstate not to hear any noise but close enough to be back on the road in 10 min. The house and land are charming and there is even a nature trail that our kids used to get some energy out! If you need a place to stay near Sioux Falls we highly recommend.
Country Acres is an 11 out of 10! This was our first time as a guest on Boondocker Welcome and they exceeded our expectations! The hosts are wonderful and welcoming and the property is amazing! Shade, quaint gardens filled with little ornaments to discover and your own private walking path through the woods. Quiet surroundings and peaceful. Level ground for parking.
The hosts have created a peaceful and relaxing site for their guests. They are friendly, accommodating and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed visiting with them and hope to cross paths again in the future! Thank you, Country Acres, for giving us a great first impression of South Dakota!
Wow!!!!! Another amazing stay at our hosts Gary and Cleo’s beautiful property. Bunnies and deers everywhere, quiet and beautiful. We chatted with our hosts for quite a while upon arrival last night and we had so much in common. I think we made some new friends! AND, as we we’re leaving Cleo stopped us to give us some freshly baked sourdough bread. Amazing!!!!! We cannot wait to see them again.
Beautiful location with accommodating hosts. The hosts have gone above and beyond in creating a beautiful campsite where you can relax after traveling. There is a nature trail on the property which was a perfect place to walk our dog. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
There is no question that this couple are Ultra Hosts! They greeted us and helped us get set up. They helped us find a place to have dinner, showed us around their property, and brought us small gifts in the morning. (Her homemade pumpkin bread is delicious!) They were very knowledgeable and we enjoyed chatting with them. We highly recommend these hosts and their beautiful country home. Thank you!
Beautiful, peaceful, quiet property with shade trees and birds. Hosts were friendly and we enjoyed our conversations and visit. Would love to return.
We had a great visit just overnight. Cleo and Gary are wonderful hosts! Thanks
Hosts were friendly and pleasant! Beautiful property with trails through the woods, grassy area with swing set for kids to burn off energy. We enjoyed watching the fireflies light up around us at dusk.
The property is so cute. They have done a really nice job setting up a spot for guests. Pull through driveway and full hookups. They were very friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. Would stay here again.
Hosts meet us at the end of their driveway and led the way back to the house. Even watched to make sure our tail wasn't going to drag going up the slight incline to reach the parking spot. They have a lovely spot to park with a picnic table and swing set and 30amp power.
We were lucky to be there on a Thursday, when the local winery was open late and had live music and food trucks.
Hosts were very friendly and met us at the top of the driveway. Great location off I-90, and quiet, flat spot at their property. Enjoyed staying here!
The hosts were at their driveway entrance when we arrived and guided us to the parking spot. It is a beautiful area that the hosts took a lot time and effort to prepare. We spent some time upon arriving and again prior to departing to chat with our wonderful hosts.
Peaceful and private. Property is beautiful. The hosts are a sweet couple and very accommodating. A nice place to rest after a long day travel. Will visit again if in the area.
Our stay was fantastic! Our hosts are awesome and we had a great time with them. Their camping ground is beautiful and their hard work and care for it is well on display. Thank you and Cheers!!!
Gary and Cleo were waiting for us upon arrival with a wave and a warm smile. Their home is tucked away in a corner of pure peacefulness and privacy. We chatted for a long while as they shared with us the story of their property and how they ended up there. They were so kind to offer suggestions of sights to see along our journey. Truly one of the most welcoming Boondockers we’ve stayed with. Will definitely be returning on our next trip west.
They are dialed in and have a great set up for visitors. They helped us park and we had a nice chat. Quiet setting in the country yet easy to find. Really enjoyed our stay.
Gary and Cleo are generous, informative, and friendly hosts. Cleo met me at the top of the drive and directed me into the camp spot. Gary wasn't there when I first arrived. Their home lies nestled amongst gently rolling hills of yellow and green with a woodsy backdrop and elusive pheasants; deer; rabbits ; and lovely songbirds and a woodpecker for company.
I am a newbie to RVing and Cleo was very helpful in understanding my little rig - big hug! She welcomed me and my kitty Moose and gave me a tour through the woods on their old John Deere Gator four-wheeler. Cleo even took pictures of Moose in his backpack for me! Cleo brought me fresh asparagus from their garden and even invited me to a BBQ. I really enjoyed the photo album of the original old house and grounds in contrast with the gardens they now have.
When I discovered that my turn signals were not functioning, Cleo and Gary's son helped me figure out the problem and they offered to let me stay until a mechanic had an opening (two days later). Thank you so much for everything, Cleo and Gary!
Very nice place! Area to park is nice and shaded and they had a swing set my daughter could use.
What a nice couple. They will meet you at the end of their driveway and are happy to share local information. Ensured you had no issues in setting up and they have a fantastic view.
I will definitely be stopping here again.
Nice quiet place and so much to do on the property. Our little one had fun in the yard and play on the swing.
Gary and Cleo were very welcoming to the beautiful home. Plenty of acres for kids to run and dog. They have trails you can go on , wildlife to see, and swings for the kids. Really peaceful and quiet ... Will definitely have to come back... Amazing experience...
Gary and Cleo are truly so very nice! They couldn’t do enough to help us! They are the kind of people that you would love to have as next-door neighbors. They even prepared some pumpkin bread for us before we left. What else can I say?
We really enjoyed our stay here. Our hosts were most gracious. Quite, peaceful farm land with large shade trees. Wish it was warm enough to enjoy the fire pit. Can’t wait to come back.
We had a very positive experience with Gary and Cleo. They have worked very hard to make their spot very welcoming. It was so quiet and peaceful. We woke up to birds chirping and no train whistles or traffic noise. We would stop there again.
After a long day's drive this was a welcome respite. We were met at the road and guided to our site followed up by easy conversation and tons of information about the area. Keeping in contact with them eased the arrival process. Our time spent at Country Acres was more like visiting family than an overnight stop. Welcoming, quiet and so much history here. Well absolutely stop again!
Good people who greeted me at the end of the driveway and spent the better part of an hour chatting with me. Made me feel welcomed.
Site was probably the best I've been at so far. Secluded, quiet, next to nature. I had a very pleasant and relaxing stay ... as short as it was.
Site can handle any type or size RV from what I saw.
Very highly recommend the hosts and site for anyone traveling through Sioux Falls!
You won’t find nicer people than Gary_Cleo. Their BDW site is fantastic. Very easy access, and quiet. Their hospitality is unmatched. I would definitely stay with them again.
This is a beautiful spot with glorious large trees and even a nature trail. Very gracious and accommodating host. We had a very relaxing time and a peaceful night. You can't go wrong here. Thanks Country Acres ..!!...
So it was a first for both of us and you would have never know from how comfortable our hosts Gary and Cleo were.
Their response time to messages was very quick. They met us at the end of the driveway to ensure that our rig would fit and to show us where to park.
Once parked we had a nice introduction with both Gary and Cleo. We showed off our remodeled rig and explained our plan to go play some golf. We were able to come and go on our own once we knew the layout.
Their property is beautiful and quite. We did see deer and plenty of birds in the morning. They did have an extention cord for power if needed.
When we were ready to leave in the morning we wanted to say goodbye. Not only did they wish us a fair well, Cleo sent us on our travels with fresh chocolate chip cookies and hand made pot pads.
If you ever need to stay near Sioux Fall, SD I highly recommend staying at County Acres.
