I work as a freelance software developer, but I have done a little bit of everything at some point: retail, food service, filmmaking, marketing, graphic design, etc.
I love spending time in nature: hiking, kayaking, camping, etc.
Give me some local food suggestions! I like pretty much any and all sorts of cuisine.
I know a little bit about a lot and a lot about a little.
I love learning about American history and world religions.
I love animals and have a young Collie-Great Pyrenees (or Great Collinees) pup named Lida. She travels with me most of but not all of the time, but she is very well-behaved.
My favorite camping and/or boondocking locations:
I bounce back and forth between a number of home bases: Los Angeles, Jacksonville, and multiple towns in Alabama.
I have a 2014 Ram Promaster 2500 High Roof Standard Wheel Base with 400 watts of solar power somewhat discreetly attached to the roof. If the sun peeks out for a few hours at least every other day, I can boondock nearly indefinitely in most cases, though I typically plug in when given the option. Inside, I have a bed / table conversion, a small fridge and kitchen-type space, a cartridge toilet, and a foot-pump faucet / sink with a 5 gallon gray water tank and 12 gallon-capacity of fresh water. The total vehicle length is approximately 17 feet and height is approximately 9 feet. I prefer being able to take my van in and out for exploring but not during after hours.
Glad to have Brettieb stay with us. Communication was excellent and he was kind and courteous. He was very quiet. We welcome Brettieb back anytime and wish him well on all of his travels!
I hosted Brettieb and he was so quiet, if he hadn't communicated by text, I might not have known he was there. Very quiet, respectful and stealthy. I highly recommend hosting him if he requests.
