We just bought our first ever RV, a 40 foot diesel pusher. Picked it up in Idaho and brought it back to Maine arriving 7/10/18. We can only host for three months because the farm is sold and we will be moving to town after. Christmas. I held a pilots license for many years but had to give it up for medical reasons. Our wedding anniversary in October will be #64. You can find a lot about us on our website www.pipermtn.com. Check the link at the bottom of the "about us" page for my interview with Martha Stewart.
I know quite a lot about air traffic control and growing balsam fir Christmas trees. Beyond that I know a little bit about a lot of things and not much about anything.
We enjoy pets but do not have one.
Haven't had time to find any.
We live in Newburgh, ME, about 20 miles SW of Bangor. We were both born and raised in northern Vermont.
A 2005 Alfa "See Ya" WE will have a tow but do not presently
A wonderfully quiet and peaceful location. We very much enjoyed chatting with host and touring the farm.
Hosts Jim & Norma we not at the property, but left us with concise instructions. We had a wonderful stay, enjoyed walking about the tree farm and exploring the old cemetery on the property.
Stella our Boxer loved being off leash with the ability to explore the farm.
The amenities were far above and beyond normal boondocking.
This spot was the perfect jumping off point for our visit to ME. The owners were very nice and helpful and had electricity and a bathroom to use if we needed it. We were traveling with 3 dogs so all the extra space on the farm was greatly appreciated for their exercise needs. We stayed for 4 days and went on little day trips visiting Belfast, Camden and Bar Harbor. We would definitely contact them again the next time we are in the area.
So helpful and beautiful being on the Christmas Tree farm. Thanks for having us and all the best for the future!
What a place! Jim was a fantastic host. We showed us his tree farm and the house he built. Thanks for your time and having us even when you had plans. We had a little mountain mountain bike adventure, fresh tomatoes, a very quiet night and amazing stars.
We would love to have you visit us on the west coast.
Jim was so kind to let me park my Pop up camper next to his Barn. He provided electric and a bathroom. We had a good conversation about his RV, and family. He sold his farm but hopefully new owner will join BW.
Wonderful spot in the Christmas Trees! The hosts were warm and welcoming!
