Marianne(1953) from the Swiss mountains, Tim(1948) from Amsterdam , Holland . We met in Davos , Switserland. After living in Cologne/Germany we lived in Amsterdam (on a houseboat !) After that in Lelystad, a small city on ‘new land’ in the center of Holland. Tim worked for a long time as a teacher at a secondary school , Marianne has worked in a hospital and a hospice , later as a ceramist, selling pottery at the market of modern art in Amsterdam. From 2010 we were hosts at a campsite in France. Nice work, nice to meet all different kind of people. Now we are looking for new challenges.
We have three sons, one lives and works in Chilliwack. We will visit him and his wife in july.
That’s why we hired a motorhome in Toronto/Canada and we will drive to Vancouver from june 1 – july 1. The first time we do something like this. Never sat behind the wheel of an RV…
But we love new adventures (two years ago we made a big hike through the Himalayas).
Unfortunately, our English is insufficient to communicate in depth. So, help us to improve our English! :))
Marianne is an amazing cook in the swiss tradition, Tim loves walking and talking. On our campsite in France we restored an old farm(14th century) with the help of many friends.
We never boondocked in the US or Canada. Hopely we can tell some marvellous stories after our trip!
In the past 4 years we lived for the most time in France, in a tiny village about 300km south of Paris. Some weeks yearly we were at our home in Lelystad/Holland. On this spot there was for long, long centuries water. In the middle of the 20th century the Dutch built dikes and made new land. It looks like the great plains in the USA, I guess.
We don't have a rig at our own. We make this trip to Vancouver as a so-called relocation drive. Actually we don't know the seize of the RV, hope only he is not overseized....
