Do you know or have you hosted this user?

We're newly liberated from railroading and the building trades, respectively. Loving more time for hiking, birding, gardening, skiing, boating, and hunting for elk and mushrooms.

We welcome last minute guests, lack of set-in-stone itinerary is one of the joys of RVing. But since we like to be here to greet you, please let us know as soon as you can if your plans change and we won't get to meet you.

Skills & Expertise to Share

We have most any tools you'd need for mechanical or general work, and might even have the know-how to use 'em.

Trowland's Pets

Our slightly obsessive border collie, Woody loves to welcome guests. With wonderful off-leash walks right from our door, he knows he lives in dog heaven.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

Throughout the western U.S., although we need to broaden our rv-ing horizons.

Trowland's Hometown

We're 5 miles from the village of Yampa, home (in season) to the Antler's Bar & Café. It's 35 miles to Steamboat Springs and just a bit more to Vail and the Eagle River valley.

A perfect stay!

The Trowlands are perfect hosts and the countryside is beautiful!

They helped us level our camper and invited us to watch hummingbirds on their front porch, and the sunset over the hills! They were very accommodating but beyond that warm, funny and interesting! And they enjoyed having our kids around, you could tell. :-) We loved our stay with them and would be easily enticed for a return visit!

Thank you so much for everything! We enjoyed our stay and visiting with you!

Perfect Hospitality

Tim and Dana are fantastic hosts! Their property is beautiful with stunning views, and more hummingbirds than you could imagine. Tim was a huge help with a small leak in our hot water heater, and answered all my questions about backpacking. Dana took my wife and our daughter on a hike to search for wild mushrooms, they had a blast! The night before we left, we all went out for a great diner at the local Antlers restaurant. We will definitely be back to visit Tim and Dana and the beautiful area!

Saving for another day

This host was so hospitable. I was unsure about my plans. He was very patient, accommodating and understanding. I wish I would have had a chance to make the stay work. I will just say "WOW! What a view."
