My husband, Michael, and I have sold our home in northern AZ in order to take this year to have an adventure and see the country in our 36 foot RV, that we call The Moby Dick! We are only a few months new to the RV world, and despite some of the big learning curves, we LOVE it. We travel with our 2 dogs, Maya and Dusty, and our 2 cats, Cuckoos and Chunky. By trade, I am a veterinary technician, and Michael works with kids either in a non-profit like Big Brothers Big Sisters, coaching Little League, or, also doing landscape work. We have decided to take this sabbatical to see our amazing country as well as scouting out other potential areas to resettle. We are very excited for this unique and exciting time, and are so very grateful to have the chance to do something like this. We look forward to meeting more amazing people on the road, and seeing this beautiful country for as long as we can.
I am a veterinary technician by trade, mostly small animals like dogs and cats. Prior to that I had 17 years as a pharmacy technician, so I love all things medical and animal. Michael works as a mentor with children and also does amazing landscaping work.
Yes! We have 2 dogs: Maya is about 7 years old, maybe 42 pounds, and Dusty is closer to 10 years old, and about 60 pounds. They are both rescue dogs, and both mixed breed mutts that we love dearly. We also have 2 cats, Chunky and Cuckoos, who basically are indoor only at this point. We do have a pop up "catio" for them and harnesses, but they are unsure in using either of those things at this time. Because this RV life is new to ALL of us, we are hoping the kitties will eventually be able to adjust to wearing their harnesses and spending some time in their small catio tent. We love them dearly, and they are all very sweet.
We actually have not yet boondocked in our current RV! We are looking forward to it! Almost every place we have stayed has had some sort of hookup. However, when we rented a Cruise America Class C previous to purchasing our current rig, we did boondock outside of Pagosa Springs, Colorado on a river and it was amazing.
Prescott, AZ, and what they refer to as the Quad Cities on north central Arizona. My husband has lived most of his life there, and I have lived there maybe about 15 years. We each have family and friends there, so it will always be "home" for us. We last lived in 1 town over from Prescott, called Chino Valley, and had a few acres and beautiful views of mountains and sunsets. It was a big decision to leave our beautiful home, but it felt like the right time to get out and adventure!
We have a 36 foot Class A Fleetwood Southwind that flat tows a 2014 Honda CRV.
A nice young couple in search of a new home space to land. Did not to get to visit except on their arrival.
They are welcome here any time.
Glad to host them an enjoyed the chatting an stories hope the best for them and feel they will be great campers at your place
