Our traveling has evolved as our lives have ... from tent camping to a Class C to a travel trailer and now to airbnbs/VRBOs or rental RVs. I love to travel and meet new people, but try to stay away from big cities. I prefer a much more casual and laid-back lifestyle. My favorite spots involve lots of trees or bodies of water without big crowds of people. I'm also a fair-weather traveller. I don't particularly like it too hot or too cold. Just like Goldilocks, I want it to be "just right." Haha. With most of the kids leaving the nest now, and the last little baby bird doing distance learning due to Covid, it gives us a new opportunity to do some cautious traveling.
I'm pretty crafty, so if you need arts and craft skills, I'm happy to help. I'm also great with kids of all ages ... from newborns to teens, whether it be newborn care or school tutoring. I can understand German and speak it (but it's pretty rough after not getting used regularly), but in an emergency, I can make it work.
My children's pets include one dog, two cats and a bunny ... so that means I have four pets, right? No pets typically travel with me though.
We have yet to boondock. This is new for us.
Not really sure. LOL. We are renting a one-way "factory special" and were told it could range in length from 22 feet to 33 feet. I have requested something on the shorter end, but won't be assigned a specific RV until our actual arrival on site on March 2nd.
Fernweh2 was a pleasure to host. They arrived as scheduled and set up quickly.
Wish the weather was better so that we could have learned about their adventures.
We were happy to host them and would welcome them back anytime.
This guest booked for just one night, but we had a great conversation when they arrived. Easy going and very gracious guest. Welcome back anytime!
