Brenda and I (John) have been camping in our truck camper since 2008 when I retired. Our travels range from a three month cross country journey to multi-day mini vacations to spur of the moment day trips. We spend a month or more each winter in the south including Southwest Florida. Brenda is a nurse with a variable schedule, which gives us blocks of time throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall to explore this great country, meet people and have many exciting and memorable adventures.

We've traveled throughout much of the U.S. especially the east coast. Shoreline vacations are our favorites (Cape Cod, RI shore including Newport, Acadia NP, Florida east coast, west coast and Panhandle, Oregon, Vancouver and Nova Scotia). Often when we're traveling we'll leave a campground and boondock for the day at some scenic site, which is usually prettier and more interesting than the campground itself.
Rocky Hill, CT (population 19,000) lies just south of Hartford on the Connecticut River. Easy access to north/south-east/west Interstate Highways make this an ideal starting point for both long and short camping journeys.
