We are a retired couple who travel the country volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Care-a-Vanners and playing in between builds.

Do you know or have you hosted this user?

We retired in 2007. Kathy was an elementary school teacher, and Clint was self employed designing and building things. We spent two years in the Peace Corps, serving in Belize, working with the Garifuna community. Now we travel full time in our 31 foot Thor ACE Class A motor home, building with the Care-a-Vanners, a group affiliated with Habitat for Humanity. We build for two weeks, explore for awhile, visit grandkids and build again. We love the freedom, have met wonderful people who have become good friends, and enjoy deviating from our plans frequently.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

Anywhere we can get away from traffic, enjoy the night sky, listen to the coyotes and enjoy nature and a good book. Hearing the ocean waves or the ripples of a river are nice too!

cnknorr's Hometown

Recently sold our home in Northern California and are full timers. We plan to land in Oregon when the time is right.

Great guests and common interests

While hosting cnknorr we had the chance to share our experiences in doing disaster recovery work and theirs in building homes for Habitat For Humanity. Interesting to learn from them and how that program works. Great people who are out to help others! So glad to have met them.

a port in a storm

With COVID and the storm ETA, we did the best to be good hosts. Since I was recovering from complete shoulder replacement, we could not spend much time with a super nice couple.

Hope our paths cross again.

Very Cordial and Friendly!

Cnknorr came in and got set up. They were very respectful and Covid conscientious. Although they only stayed one night and it was raining, our conversation was short but sweet, and they were very pleasant to talk to. We even found a little common ground in that short period of time!! Great guests! They are more than welcome to come and stay again!! :)

Good folks

They truly are a couple great folks, entertaining also lol. We did get some to talk but I should've asked more questions about their travel and habitat assistance. Maybe they'll see this and come back for a longer stay next time. We hope so.

We are fortunate to be able to offer quick , easy access to overnight Boondockers. The downside is not being able to spend more time with such obviously interesting folks! They are welcome back anytime.

“Autumn, the year's last, Loveliest Smiles"-William Cullen Bryant

And lovely smiles the were; always save the best for last!

Two years after becoming a host, these guests returned to spend more time at Kamp Karma in all her Autumnal Glory! While the marshmallows never got toasted around a campfire, it's quite possible these wonderful friends and I did too, (just a wee bit)!

Some folks come and go with nary a look back at time spent together; some become fast friends. I am beyond grateful to have come to know this wonderful couple who have set the bar for all others passing through here. Looking forward to seeing them again to hear more about their ramblings across the country. Till next time! 🍷

A wonderful, interesting couple!

We loved hosting Kathy and Clint at our home. We shared a meal and a bottle of wine, and really appreciated them sharing their wealth of RV wisdom to newbies like us! We'd love to host them again and hope to see them out on the road sometime soon!

The Reference I MEANT to leave!

DO NOT miss the opportunity to spend time with these incredible people. Listen to them, laugh with them, but most of all LEARN from them. I have not enjoyed conversation like this in many years. Open your eyes and your hearts to their experiences, and chances are, your life will become richer in ways you may never have thought possible. I cannot wait to spend time with them again!

So VERY Young at Heart!

When I grow up, I want to be just like this amazing couple! In the brief time I was fortunate to spend with these wonderful folks, I have become so very much inspired by their energy, attitude and kindness. They've made me think about doing things that I hadn't considered before, and puts a reason to travel in a whole new perspective. Don't miss the opportunity to spend some time with these guests; an incredibly enriching experience! 😊

Happy Campers

We are so delighted when this couple comes to visit! Wolfeboro is a great place to be in the summer and we are so glad these folks got to enjoy the concerts in the park. We love our chats at night around the campfire. Sad to see them leave but we know we've made friends for life and will see them again in our travels.

New Friends

These two wonderful people are welcome to our home anytime! Our campfire chats with them have been such a pleasure! They are very clean, neat, and respectful of our property. We are still new to rv-ing, just 3 years part time, and they have been very willing to share their knowledge and past experiences. We'll be exchanging ideas and plans until we both travel to Alaska next year hopefully we can rendezvous. Our new friends have been a blessing and we are grateful for their generosity!

Great Guests

These Folks are such a pleasure to have as guests. They have been very respectful of our property and have been a joy to get to know. Our evening campfire chats have been most enjoyable. Their tales of adventure while helping the less fortunate are awe inspiring and enlightening. We have enjoyed their company while blueberry picking, walking the local rails for trails, going to a concert in town and kayaking/canoeing. Who knew that our 1st Boon Dockers would be opening up a path to such a wonderful friendship. We highly recommend that you invite them to visit if they should ask to stay! We can't wait to see them in the near future!

As with the other "Boondockers Welcome" folks - these two people were amiable, conversational, and just nice folks that you wish lived closer so you could see each other more often. Both Jim and I look forad to hosting them again when their travels bring them thru our burg.
