I enjoy my work, family, travling and sports.
My son, wife and I work at our family business. Walts Brake & More (Auto, RV, Truck Garage and Storage). Founded by the late Walt Krumm Sr in 1965. We are a third generation business and very proud.
Not at this time.
I'm a newbee. Just joined.
We have a 2011 Tiffin Zephyr and tow a 2017 Ram 1500.
Stayed over night as quick stop before dark. Very pleased with easy parking.
Was greeted by hosts & given pamphlets of the area for dining & things to do!
Met Walt & enjoyed our conversation.
Will come back again!
It's a nice enough area. Parking area is a bit tight for a larger rig (I'm 34ft). Road noise until late in the evening. Hopefully you don't have a neighbor like we did running their commercial generator all night.
It was quite nice to have a place to dump and the staff was friendly.
As a new member of "Boondockers welcome" I was in search of a safe, welcoming spot to rest for a night on my way back to Atlanta. My very first boondockers welcome experience was just that with my night at Walt's Brake & More. I got a nice night's rest, peaceful, quite and SAFE. I greatly appreciate the host's hospitality. Highly recommend!
Thanks so much for the peaceful night at a wonderful spot. The host was delightful, providing lots of good local information and conversation. Highly recommend.
Our plans changed at the last moment and these guys made it work for us. Sorry guys that it wasn't a normal setup and thank you for still allowing us the stay.
Nice front level lot to park with lights!! Very accommodating & even was able to stay 2 extra nights while vehicle was being worked on ... will definitely stay again!! Thanks !!
Very accommodating. Easy access/parking for 40ft 5th wheel and long-bed pickup truck (56ft total). Would definitely like to stay, again.
Easy in and out for any size rig. Walt is the MAN!!! He has a firm handshake, a personality, and a smile! On our way from the everglades we had brake issues. We almost had a nearby campground booked, fully expecting to have a mobile mechanic come and service our RV. After informing Walt that it appeared we were not going to make it, his knowledge over the phone helped us alleviate the problem enough to get to his location. Upon (late)arrival(due to the brake issues) Walt came and checked in with us to make sure we made it safely and talk me through my brake issues a little further. The next day our motorhome was in Walt's shop getting the brake issues all sorted out and was ready to go that afternoon(at a fair price, I might add!).
We we be back, likely heading home to Palm Coast after a Gator home game. We appreciate there hospitality.
Walt’s services motor homes also. It is a family-owned business and the family welcomed us. We had a very comfortable stay.
Had a warm welcome by walt (aka) rusty . Went for a bike ride .and had a nice visit with walt that night very friendly people. A fantastic place to stay at and if you need services ck with walt's brake & more .ps hope to see you on the road out west sometime. Thanks again c&s
Walt is very accommodating and helpful with local events.
Great place to park. No issues. While I was here I am having my rigs oil & Trans fluid changed & a few other things. As you know it can be a challenge when traveling to find a great place like this to service your rigs.
I highly recommend Walts.
We arrived and Walt greeted us and was so welcoming. We had a peaceful nights sleep and felt very safe.
Thanks, for the last minute, level, safe location. The information on Ocala was quite helpful. The pizza at Formaggio was great. Your place was very convienient to the Ford dealer where we had an appointment early the next morning for servicing.
Great host. He offered to use sewer dump and add water. Some traffic at night, but that not bad. A large parking lot made it easy to park my 40 foot class A. A class B RV was also there for the night.
This turned out to be a welcome find. My wife and I live not far but were testing our van for a couple days to make sure everything was ready for 2021.
Walt greeted us and spent time chatting and getting to know one another despite it being in the middle of his work day. Handed us a map and his personal recommendations for great local "eats".
Highly recommended. Note that this is on a busy road. It did quiet down after 10. We are from an urban environment and had a great night's sleep!
Walts is a great place to spend the night. They showed to greet us and we exchanged stories.
After the sun went down, we found ourselves setting in the parking lot watching a big gold moon coming up behind the trees, beautiful.
It’s an interesting business, they work on RVs, store them and their regular business. It’s very convenient off the interstate. This is a third generation business.
We stayed here near sunset and it was a wonderful spot to park. Walt Jr. And his son were very kind and helpful about things to do in the area. We appreciate your hospitality so much!
Very close to I-75 and has a very level parking area. Located on a busy road during the day but quiet at night. This is a business location but is much better than Walmart or Cracker Barrel. We had a great evening and night. Thanks Walts Brake & More.
Walt’s Brakes was the perfect location while staying in the Ocala area. Walt and his family have a treasured business history. He provided several sites of interest - the World Equestrian Center was amazing! We highly recommend this location (quiet even though close to a main road).
These hosts are awesome and take hospitality to a new level! Such a wonderful and relaxing time spent in Ocala, even though it rained a lot. A second RV stayed next to me and we all had a great time! We actually met up for church and breakfast a week after my stay!
Very grateful for their hospitality and willingness to host RVers!
This is what you always hope to find while Boondocking. Waltsbrakes host were so very accommodating, gracious and friendly folks, we have made new lifetime friends and feel so very blessed to have met them.
Waltsbrakes is close to I-75 and is a easy to find location, being close to many Ocala restaurants and attractions (ask about MoJo's) Parking is on a level paved lot next to a moderately busy road.
We recommend this host highly.
OMGosh awesome new host !!!!!
We had to run one more errand before leaving the area and it was a perfect stay.
I felt safe safe staying overnight.
Convenience store right down the street a very short walk for coffee.
By a busy road but if you can ignore it then you will be fine.
Awesome to know that we were his first BW person’s. Good luck to ya.
I got in on a weekend when the shop was closed but a quick call to Walt and I was advised to park anywhere on his front lot. The rear of his lot is secured but the front is not. Front lot is close to a fairly busy roadway. There is a convenience/gas station close by. Parking lot was level and other than the torrential rain we had a good night's rest. Met Walt and his wife before leaving in the AM and was told that we were his second guest since becoming a host...Friendly and cordial. Future plans may be to open his secured back lot (locked fence and security cams) for future guests. This would be a great improvement over the front lot parking but works for an overnight stop!
