Do you know or have you hosted this user?

I have retired early to spend time exploring North America in my RV when not at home in the woods of western Maine. I worked as a professional photographer and spent the last 13 years teaching and working in marketing for a private boarding school. I spend most of my free time exploring the outdoors. I enjoy hiking (four seasons), canoeing, and recreational cycling. Photography was my profession and I continue to take photos for pleasure. I make my home on 40 acres in the woods of western Maine. I enjoy working on the property and am handy with carpentry and working in the woods. I mostly remote tent camped until buying my first RV when I retired. Preferring to travel the back roads and explore the countryside with no schedule to adhere to.

A New Friend

We both enjoyed meeting and spending time with this guest. Very respectful, quiet, and such a delight to talk to. He was our first guest to hike locally and find the beauty of our area. We enjoyed getting to know him and made a lifelong friend over campfires with mountain pies!!!

Great Boondocker

Due to our schedule OutdoorPhoto stayed on our property but we never got to meet him. He took great care of the property and left no signs of his visit. Gratefully, he took some wonderful pictures of the river and our property during his stay. We would love to have him back to meet him in person.

Beautiful Property!

What an amazing host. Super friendly and helpful. He really goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome to the state not only his property. He gave us a print out of local places to explore which we totally did! Unbelievable sunsets and rises. We parked right on the water and had the best views even at night we saw the Milky Way .

Blissful Tranquility

What a beautiful, restful stop. Our host could not have been more accommodating. Although it rained all evening, our visit with the host was not dampened at all😋
We sat under our awning and had a delightful chat with our host. He was a wealth of information and guidance on how to make the most of our stay in the area. We would definitely stay again!

Delightful stay.

Beautiful setting at an oxbow pond. Our host was gracious and welcoming with lots of detailed information about local sights and hiking trails. We drove a few miles and then hiked at Dunn’s Falls, part of the Appalachian Trail. A steep and rocky creek with multiple waterfalls. No bugs! We have lived in Maine all our lives but this was new territory for us and a great way to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary.

Mountain Paradise!

This place is absolutely fabulous! We enjoyed our time so much we asked if we could stay another night. We were the first guests to stay on property so we might have received the VIP treatment, but the host was beyond hospitable, truly a blessing for us Boondockers.

If your travels bring you to this neck of the woods definitely try to swing through you won't be disappointed. There are plenty of hikes in the area, trails for ATVs and a nice mellow river accessible from the property. Plenty of wood around for a nice big fire at night too! Mid may the state bird was out (mosquitos) and apparently a bad year for ticks, but you'll get those anywhere in the woods this time of year.

Property is very well kept and a very spacious area or areas to park your rig.
