Cathy and I take advantage of the health and energy we have and use our time to enjoy retirement. We exercise and maintain an active schedule to keep us young, or so it seems. With the hectic lifestyle of full time employment and raising kids in the past, we set our own schedules now, so morning coffee sometimes lasts for hours. We love the outdoors, just being in nature, boating on the river or a good motorcycle ride. I get my share of golf and keep a variety of motorcycles to feed my riding addiction, be it a short jaunt to carve up the curves in southeastern Ohio or a multi day trip.
Helping folks just takes a willingness to do so along with sharing a positive attitude.
Motorcycling has been a lifelong passion. Always willing to offer advice on routes and riding or just talk until the cows come home. The adventure is in the trip as much as the destination.
Pepper is our little Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix that keeps us on our toes and watches out for us. She is a terrific traveling companion.
On the road while traveling we have done quite a few Cracker Barrel overnights but National Forests and National Shores are favorites. We love to go visit friends when the plan is to park it and stay the night.
Home is just outside of Columbus, Ohio. Cathy and I are natives of beautiful southeastern Ohio so we have a getaway there that keeps us busy and brings us closer to nature and fabulous motorcycling roads.

Good and timely communication. Would have them as guests anytime...
We found we had a lot in common and I really enjoyed our conversation. I wish them well on their trip west - safe travels! They’re welcome back anytime!
We loved the setting, along side the Muskeegum River. We had foggy, misty mornings and sunny, tree shaded days. It was only about 30 minutes travel off of I-70.
We had a wonderful stay at Blue Rock Boondock. The electric hookup was greatly appreciated after a very hot day biking. This is an easy, flat parking spot with an adjacent area under roof with chairs for lounging. We did not want a fire since it was so hot, but there is a fire ring available. The hosts were very welcoming and we had easy conversation discussing common interests. Highly recommended!
We really enjoyed this respite near the river. Wish we had more time to visit with the hosts. They are gracious folks who share many of our interests. We hope to visit again!
This was a great stopover on our trip out west. Quiet, easy in and out, and the covered patio was lovely. Thanks to the host!
We didn’t get a chance to meet the host but the spot was level and quiet which was all we needed for a one night stopover.
We can't say enough about the kindness our hosts shared with us. What a wonderful stay, so relaxing and peaceful. The perfect spot to park our home for the night. We will forever be grateful for the laughter, the stories, and the genuine kindness. If available, be sure to make this stop along your journey. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
A fun and interesting stay with Chris14. A great place, with a really nice site, thoughtfully set up. Thanks!
A great place, and wonderful people. Had electricity, beautiful level spot to park, across from their home on Muskingum River. Like visiting old friends and proud to have them for our 1st night on a 6 month journey across the US.
Terrific hosts!! Nicely located on the Muskingum River in beautiful SE Ohio. Nice quiet site to park your rig with 30 amp service. We recommend checking out the Blue Rock Boondock!
