I grew up in Rock Island IL, got a BSIE from U of I and MBA from U of Ia. Worked 13 years for the IL EPA in Rockford. Raised 2 sons who are now married with 3 adult grandchildren.

My wife Renata immigrated to NY NY from Switzerland at a young age with her family. As an adult she lived on both coasts and in the SE.

She general worked as a para-legal with a strong interest in acting. We met and got married in FL.

I moved to FL for a warm beachy lifestyle. Owned 3 sailboats sequentially. Traded in the last boat for a travel trailer, less expensive to explore with a bigger range.

My wife Renata and I have RVed in over 40 states; part time since 2005, semi-full time 2012 - 2014. Full time since. We are members of, SKP Saguaro Co-Op (Benson, AZ) & Evergreen COHO Co-Op (Chimacum, WA), Good Sam, Passport America and Elks Lodge 2131, Willcox, AZ.

Now we are out West, lots of space with a wide variety of landscapes. We love history and the environment.

Recently we are generally in AZ during the winter and the Rocky Mountains or on the Pacific Coast for the summer. Our home base remains in FL.

Skills & Expertise to Share

Good with math and science and the associated understanding of design, construction and maintenance. For example I designed and installed a robust Solar Power system on my 5th wheel.

I have climbed the steep curve of RVing, have attended RV Boot Camp by, have had behind the wheel training, have completed the Smart Weight program. I am in the 20% of RVers who are in compliance with all of their weight ratings.

mac26s's Rig

A 35' 2013 Heartland Sundance 5th wheel with 4 slides and solar power. It is very comfortable with or without shore power. We can boon dock with all of the comforts of home like DISH network and internet for 10 to 14 days depending on the availability of restroom facilities. A/C, microwave and hair dryer have to wait for shore power. I have a quiet Honda generator. Why? I do not know. I never use it.
