While I have a beautiful home in southern Colorado, it is quite remote so, I travel most of the time as camera-for-hire. When I'm on the road the house is rented and unavailable for hosting.
I try to be as active as possible: running, biking, hiking, etc. I also love sea kayaking and SCUBA diving but, haven't been for a few years.
I am quite used to being alone but, love meeting new people. I've been a bicycle tour guide, personal trainer, Spinning instructor, technical recruiter, COBOL programmer, REI sales specialist, and more.
Here is a gallery of some of the Boondockers that have stayed with me - and others I've stayed with - http://us-photography.com/Travel/Boondockers
Skilled with cameras, computers, bicycles, and fairly handy with everything else.
I have no pets but, I promise to love yours.
I've spent many winters in Florida. Most of the time at my friends places but, also boondocking from Jackonville to Key West.
Hard to say what my hometown is. I was born in CA, grew up in SC, lived in Chicago for 17 years, and Colorado for 10.
2004 Airstream Interstate (Mercedes Sprinter chassis). 22ft + bicycles on the back.
Enjoyed hosting US Photography would welcome back anytime.
I enjoyed having him here, so did my dogs. <g> He travels with a Frisbee. He's quite interesting and it was fun to exchange travel stories.
Fun to talk to as he has a lot of interesting stories.
Come back again!
I'm sure you will like him. He lives an interesting life and was here only a day. I look forward to him visiting again. He is welcome here anytime.
Had a great experience! Scott was super welcoming and friendly. Even fed me dinner the first night and gave me a jar of homemade spaghetti sauce to take on the road. Great location and loved learning about the Baca community. Stars gorgeous at night and heard coyotes at sundown.
US photography was a great host and we really enjoyed our stay. Crestone is a small town and there isn’t a whole lot to do, but if you’re looking to get away from the crowds and enjoy beautiful views, then this is definitely the place for you. Thanks for everything!
Scott could not have been nicer, more helpful and friendly host. Plus the location of his place is just stunning. I would recommend to anyone to go for a visit.
Scott met us on arrival ... had no issues getting our 22' Class C to the location. We took on some fresh water for the visit on arrival. Good conversations and knowledge of the area. Great night skies ... were able to see the Neowise comet. Very quiet & dark ... no noise or light pollution. Cut our visit from 2 to 1 night because of the distance from the Great Sand Dunes ... although you can see them from Scott's place, it was over an hour's drive to the dunes - no direct path.
If you are looking for a nice, dark, quiet, & remote spot with some water & good conversation, this is a great place.
