I'm 2 years' from retirement and hubby is retired Marine. We would like to travel the entire U.S. and visit all the National Parks, but hubby health is not the best for hiking at this point. We travel with our fur children, who are our lives!!! We are from upper East Tennessee, 30 miles outside of Knoxville.
We would love to become hosts and meet all different kinds of people, especially military. We love our Country and our God!
Love to talk about dogs, LOL. Hubby has a little mechanic and construction background.

We had a very nice visit with these two and their 3 well-loved pups. After having G's help with positioning our truck camper elsewhere than the planned gravel spot due to wires too low for our rig, we settled in nicely. Then to our amazement, they plated us a dinner which they will never know how much it was so appreciated after a long traveling day! Quiet, no road noise. Thank you for your hospitality!
It’s our 2nd visit here & after a very long day driving, it was like coming home. Beautiful lake area & nice quiet neighborhood to sleep under the stars. A nice evening around the campfire (thanks “G” for the great fire) & great conversations into the night.
Our dog, Jaxson made 3 new friends, with their nice dogs. He and Daisy ran & played until they both ran out of energy. We hope to return on our next trips to the area - arrive as strangers, leave as friends!
This was a convenient stopover prior to visiting Oak Ridge. Guests were helpful getting us settled, had water, electricity and WiFi. Short walk to the lake made for a nice end to our day. Restful night.
We enjoyed our one night stay with East TN Boonies and their sweet fur babies. Thanks for the hospitality!
A welcoming greeting after a long drive & some warm just-baked brownies! On my Birthday- what a welcome surprise, though they did not know that! Then a huge rainstorm hit & we could not chat, get to know each other & have our dogs play together in the yard! We barely got a glimpse of the beautiful Lake - Mother Nature made for a restful night hearing the rain on the rooftop though! We sure hope to come back, since we only had time for a quick overnight stop this time! peaceful setting & wonderful people. Thanks so much B & G!
What a wonderful couple! B and G warmly welcomed us to their property. We enjoyed the campfire they prepared for us each night and the great conversation! They have three gentle and friendly dogs who will win your heart. Their property is a few miles from a small town which has several restaurants and stores. We went on a day trip to Gatlinburg and they gave us wonderful suggestions on things to see and do. We absolutely hope to stay again when next in the area!
Our hosts couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful when we had an unexpected mechanical problem, and they headed us in the right direction. We hope to have more time with you next time!!
We had a wonderful visit in a beautiful part of TN. Our hosts were so sweet and so were their dogs. We sat around a fire Pit and we discussed our adventures. It was a little rainy but that just made everything fresh as we walked through the neighborhood and admired the lake. G told us he makes killer Quesadillas so we have to come back and try them. Easy in and out. 110 and water. Much appreciated.
