My wife and I have loved going camping 🏕 for over 20 years with ourchildren. Our kids are all grown, so it's just the 2 of us now. We just bought ourselves a new travel trailer and plan on traveling the USA in a few years and thought this would be a great way to meet other like minded travelers and learn what's out there.
David has many different skills that he's learned over the years. Jack of all trades master of none 😆 Basically he's learned to do most of his own Maintenance on everything we own only because we really hate paying labor for something if we can do ourselves. Michelle has been a homemaker taken care of our 3 beautiful children over the years while they grew up and now spends a lot of her time working in the medical field taken care of the elderly and hospice patients ♥
We have 2 cats and 1 dog very friendly
We haven't boondocked yet only hosting. We are planning to travel a lot in 2023 in hopes of finding a favorite then.
We have a 2021 F-350 crewcab that we pull our 2021 Cherokee travel trailer with. The travel trailer is almost 40 feet long with 2 slides on the driver's side. The truck is 21 feet long. All hooked up we are around 60 feet, but we can unhook and park the truck sideways or in another spot if need be to fit.
I enjoyed my visit here. The hosts/family were all very kind and accommodating. I really liked talking to them. Hookups were easily accessible and the spot was super convenient to get into. Thanks again for a wonderful stay 😊
Great stay- David forewarned us that he was “under the weather” but gracious in letting us stay with appropriate social distancing. Close to road, but very doable.
This was a very easy back in site and smooth pullout. The Hosts went out of their way to greet us upon arrival plus invited us to join in at the evening fire pit. We really felt like family to both come and go with privacy and to relax in our own space. Our stay overlapped a pending hurricane and we were invited to stay until it passed. Awesome, awesome hosts...5+ stars.
We were warmly greeted by our hosts upon arrival. Right away we hit it off. Great recommendations for the local attractions. Must see the Two Cent (pedestrian) Bridge and park on the Waterville side of the Kennebec River. Their pad was level. They offered 110 hookup and water. M & D are experienced campers. They had great information on things to do around Acadia NP and must do’s in NH. Had a very nice conversation with them. Would love to come stay again. Highly recommend Mainely Stays.
Mainely Stays are the kindest and sweetest hosts you can imagine! We had such a great experience with them! We’ve been newbies to Boondockers Welcome and our very first stay brought us to Mainely Stay. It was for us the best start to this generous way of traveling. Thank you for treating us like long missed friends and giving us a great impression of lived hospitality! We are looking forward to see you again!!!!
The host noticed we have an oversized rig and went out of his way to accommodate us, including of raising an overhead wire, and letting us know of the basketball hoop under the tree upon entry. I HIGHLY recommend coming from the North on hiway 32 as it's very rough South and the backup into the driveway is almost impossible (with a bigger rig) around the pole. Although there was some highway noise it quieted down at night and was tolerable . The hosts were super friendly and very helpful about everything.
This was our first Boondockers experience and was very positive. David+Michelle were both helpful and very accommodating. They provided us with both water and electricity and even invited us to join them at the fire pit. Parking was on a level paved pad bedside the drive. Mainly Stays is very easy to find off the I-95 near Waterville. We look forward to returning in the future.
It was a pleasure to be the first guests for Mainely Stays! Very welcoming hosts who went out of their way to greet us. We very much enjoyed chatting and slept really well.
