Hard-working, everyday American.
One aggravating cat named Chevy.
Ocean Springs, MS
Flat spot in a parking lot in a quiet neighborhood just off the interstate perfect for a short overnight.
I had requested 3 nights, unfortunately only able to stay 2. Lots of other Boondockers using the parking lot also, which was nice. Thank you very much for having me, I hope to be back one day.
Wonderful place to stay.. Very comfortable and quiet. We had a wonderful time visiting our family down here and going to the beach. Thank you so much for your hospitality
Perfect stopover for I-10 travelers. The parking is in a parking lot with a few other RVs spending the night. The restaurant really impressed us. The beer was good and the food was even better. Get the fried catfish- yum!
Awesome place to boonedock. Big safe parking lot my son loved to scooter in. Beautiful grounds with a fish and turtle pond. We got to feed them, super fun! Out door seating and excellent beer! We will be back.
We met some other boondockers and had a great meal here. There was plenty of space and we would probably go back there if we were in area again.
We highly recommend this location! Everyone is super nice and it is a quiet and peaceful night sleep. Nicely located too
Nice place to stay close to Biloxi. Quite and level. Thank you for the use of your parking lot.
What a great idea for the owner to share his space with us and then prepare a delicious meal on top of that! Great site, wonderful food and adult beverages (try a 4 brew sanpler or 2) and a very nice host. Met some neat fellow campers to boot. Be sure to come in from the I-10 side because the bridge is out from Hwy. 90.
Nice place to stay. There were other RVs there our whole stay, one night only one and another night many. We visited the taproom on Wednesday when they had $1 wine and $10 charcuterie boards (also got a regular entree). They also had fun games like Cornhole there.
Great spot, super friendly vibes! Would definitely recommend friends 😊
Ocean Springs is a really cute city if your wanting to check out more of MS.
Wonderful back lot with lots of room. Super host with great food & beer. A must stop for us when we pass thru the area.
FBBC offers level pavement for your rig and great food and beer in their tap room. We were surprised at how busy the tap room was on a Wednesday. Great directions and plenty of wiggle room. Thanks for a couple of peaceful enjoyable evenings.
A big THANK YOU to the owner for offering this opportunity to RV'ers! We were intrigued by the great food reviews we read, and decided to change our route just to try this place out. We had a fantastic experience! The different craft beers were great, but the delicious menu put this place on another level. Preparation and presentation was far more than you would expect from a brewery... I thought it more like a gastro-pub.
What a great service FBBC is doing for the community, as drawing us to their location meant other local businesses benefited from our fuel and grocery purchases we made while there. FBBC should be proud of what they have created!
The restaurant/bar was closed but I pulled in and parked as directed and slept quite well with not a lot of noise to keep me awake! Thanks to FBBC for allowing Boondockers! Next time hopefully they will be opened and I can grab a brew and burger!
We arrived on Friday, 26 leaving Monday, 29th of March. We notified FBBC of our arrival and parked next to another class A. We were able to use our slides and generator. It was a very relaxing evening. Met family at the Fort Bayou Restaurant for dinner. We enjoyed the best food around in fellowship with our loved ones.
The following day, we were pleasantly surprised and surrounded by a high end sport car Club on a poker run. I walked out and there were beautiful, powerful, high end vehicles all around us. It was exciting to see a variety of sport vehicles in one spot. I talked to a few of the owners who were more than glad to share details about their vehicle. By early afternoon, I was able to move our coach next to the grassy area away from the center of the back parking area. This was a great move. In the evening, the parking lot was filled with a motorcycle club. My wife and I made sure to order our dinner before so many hungry bikers got in to order their food. Sunday, our final evening here was very quiet. We had our dinner and a very restful evening. Made sure everything was ready for our departure the following day.
We are so grateful and appreciative. Thank you FBBC for your open arms, delicious food and great RV parking. Definitely, we will return when the time is right. Thank you!
The owner was kind enough to let us stay longer since there was a storm and I am glad because we got to experience the restaurant that has been closed Sunday through Wed. Great variety of beers and drinks and the foos was amazing. Proper culinary experience.
We spent two nights with our host at Fort Bayou Brewing Company and enjoyed the stay immensely. We visited several times with the host and learned about his background and how he started a brewing company so late in his career. He has hired good people and found a great chef as well. People were friendly, brews were great and the food was fantastic, great flavors and well presented.
Parking area had ample room for rigs to turn and get set up for the night. Our first evening had 10 vehicles including Class A's, multiple 5th wheels and several vans. Everyone was still able to find a spot to assure they could get out in the morning unimpeded. After eating, we set up a gas fireplace in a central area and enjoyed meeting our new neighbors and hearing their stories. The host even came out to check on everyone since he thought he might have overbooked.
Would highly recommend staying with FBBC if you are passing through. Easy access off I-10, a great host and excellent food.
Unfortunately we stayed on the nights that the brewery was closed so we never got to sample but it was a safe, quiet place to park. Thank you.
It was a lively, fun spirited place. The host was very kind and communicated well. There were 9 other RVers and there was a good spirit of cooperation as one of the guests helped everyone to find a spot. It was a good night and the food was great. Thanks again!
My husband and I stayed at Ft. Bayou Brewing Co. for 3 nights on our way towards Texas from Florida. First of all, the owner, Keith, is amazing! He is so gracious and welcoming! He is a true hands-on owner and spends each evening serving and visiting with guests, and just being genuinely nice! What a wonderful Boondocker's Welcome location! We met several other boondockers while we were there. In fact, the parking lot on Friday night had 10 rigs squeezed into the back lot!! Fire pits were broken out and many friendships forged. Thank you Fort Bayou Brewing for your amazing hospitality and amazing beer and food! If you are into beer, the Blueberry Hefeweizen is amazing. Also they have a really great menu and the food is superb! Try the blackened redfish and you won't be dissapointed. Also try the fried green tomatoes. They are amazing with a crawfish creamsauce on top! We could not have enjoyed our stay in the Ocean Springs/Biloxi area any more. This location is superb!
We stayed here two nights and were very happy with the parking accommodations. Nice large concrete lot with plenty of grassy area for our dogs. It was quiet and well lit. Our host was very welcoming and informative about the Beer and Food. We shared a very conversation. The food and Beer at brewery was very good. I would highly recommend Fort Bayou / Cypress Taphouse to my fellow boondockers. Make sure you have Sue’s Korean Beef Egg Rolls!!!
P/S Be prepared to have LOTS of company. There is ample room here for many RV’s of any size. There were 6 Rigs when we were here. Meeting new people and sharing stories of the road is one of our favorite things about using Boondockers Welcome. Thanks for the Hospitality FBBC/The Cypress Taphouse
Easy parking, even for large rigs. The food and drinks are excellent! FBBC was extremely welcoming! We also enjoyed visiting with the other guests. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again if our travels take us through Ocean Springs
We really enjoyed our time at this establishment. We enjoyed an amazing dinner (huge portions) and sampled three different beers. Who can resist a beer called Judge Roy Bean? The host was very friendly and interactive with all of the RVers.
Great food, great hospitality, and an easy site! If you find yourself in the area, it's worth spending the night!
We really appreciated being able to spend a quiet night here. Hoping to come back when the restaurant is open. Very kind and gracious host!
Great beer selection, and a clean, level pad. Not super covid conscious, but there is an outdoor dining area. Stayed three days, weekends were popular as they are on several apps including BDW.
We had a very quiet night and day here. The view was relaxing with crickets chirping in the evening. The pond at the front of the restaurant was beautiful with a lot of turtles and fish. We didn't get to enjoy the food but have heard great things.
This was a great place for us to stay the night. Our hosts were kind and accommodating. Nice clean , quite spot. Thanks guys
Very easy location, friendly owner and wonderful beer, food and other drink. Would definitely recommend.
Quiet stay and great host. Although the bar/restaurant is predominantly maskless inside during covid, the food and drinks are highly recommended
We loved it! This was our very first Boondockers Welcome stay. It couldn’t have been any better. The parking lot had several other boondockers there So, we felt very safe. The Cypress Taphouse was a great place to enjoy a meal. Keith, our host and the owner, was so welcoming and hospitable. It was a pleasure speaking with him. We were there for drinks and dinner and neither one disappointed! I had the fried shrimp dinner and the portion was quite big! Shrimp, fries, slaw and hush puppies for $11. How do you beat that? We will definitely be returning here! Thank you Keith and all of the staff at the Cypress taphouse for making us feel so at home.
Food and drink at brewery was awesome. Host came to meet us and confirmed we were parked in the right area. It was Marci Gras and they had a big celebration at the brewery, but since we were parked in the back very little noise and slept well! Thank you Keith!
Keith was great Came out and talked with us. Great food and Mardi Gras celebration. Quiet even with celebration.
We were very comfortable! We also really enjoyed the brewery's fish and beer!
I know...odd title. But for a busy establishment, having a quiet place to stay is a treat. The food and drinks were wonderful. We opted to enjoy our meal in our rig. Very happy and kind folks all around.
Feb. 6, 2021. Great flat paved parking area in the rear of the Brewery. Easy directions. We have a 32 ft Class C with tow and had no problems. Area is very quiet. Adding to the other reviews....if you stay, you MUST MUST order food and beer....if you don't drink, at least order anything off the food menu!!! Restaurant opens at 4pm. Their chef is absolutely amazing - it felt like we ate at a 5 star restaurant. Service, staff and owner were all so personable and friendly. I had the grilled bourbon salmon and Mango Hefewizen beer, 120% recommend both! Husband had the house pasta dish; shrimp, sausage and their amazing white cream sauce with the Crowd Control IPA and he loved both as well. If you arrive early, take a drive to the beach in Biloxi. We will most definitely return!!! Thank you for hosting us and other RVers alike :)
Bill & Kristen Schroeder Syracuse NY.
This was a very nice BW host site. Met owner for a brief chat and logistics. Big flat paved parking lot with wide grassy edge. No huge flood lights glaring all night. I felt very safe and comfortable. Big open field next door behind another business that my dog loved for her play time. Takeout wings were to die for......put this spot on your list to stay, eat, and relax
Lovely dinner tonight. Enjoyed meeting owner and chasing and truing a new brew. Thank you!
Food and entertainment was wonderful.
Glad we were able to meet up with host to thank him for the overnight.
Fort Bayou Brewing Company, LLC/The Cypress Taphouse provided an excellent venue for the 2 nights we stayed there. Being in the fenced in rear parking area provided a secure feeling to our stay. We ate at the restaurant along with a few adult beverages....the food was fantastic. This is a BW gem and would recommend.
We stayed here two nights and really loved it. The food is great. We had a cheddar cheese cheeseburger that was one of the best ones we have ever had. Also had a Naan Pizza that was great. It's only about 10 minutes from the Biloxi lighthouse and there is also a Camping World about 15 minutes away and you can walk to the grocery store. Would love to stay again.
Beautiful restaurant, Quiet and level lot, easy access. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the food. Beer tasting was fun, too.
Sadly they were not open the day we arrived but the owner welcomed us anyway with a smile. We parked on a secluded level spot out back of the brewery and enjoyed a peaceful night. The only sound was a train in the distance that lulled us to sleep. Plan to return when he is open to taste his brews. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay! The food and beer is fantastic. If you need to get away for some relaxation, this is the place for you!!!
Easy spot to find, quiet location, sad that we arrived on a closed day...will try again. Thank you!
Fantastic stay! Extremely nice host. His restaurant food was excellent, low prices, great tasting beer. We would definitely recommend this place👍
We stayed one night while passing through. The parking lot was level and quiet even though there were a few other rigs. We enjoyed some beers and take out from the brewery. Would definitely stay here again.
Had plenty of space to park in a good back parking lot, good food and good beer. Enough said
The spot we got was in the back lot of the brewing company/restaurant of the host. It's nothing super fancy, but it was quiet and peaceful. The brewery looks REALLY nice, unfortunately they were closed the day we were here. But we definitely want to come check it out if we travel back through this area.
A local Walmart neighborhood market if you need supplies is close. 8 minute drive to the beach and 5 to the downtown area. This is a great little beach town. It has the typical beach feel, but also has some very high end touches. Would stay here again!!!
We are traveling with friends and sometimes it is hard to find a place for 2 motorhomes. In this case, I believe there were 5 rigs in the parking lot. The owner of the restaurant/brewery is Keith. He was absolutely terrific. So congenial and welcomed us in like family. One of his employees was celebrating her birthday and he threw a party for her with an outstanding brass band! His beer and food were both amazing. Can't say enough good things about how hard Keith is working to survive these tuff times. We give him a two thumbs up and 5 stars.
