I am nearing retirement age and just bought my first RV, a Class C, Forest River Sunseeker 2850. My first trip was 6,400 miles from NY to Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Texas, Arkansas, Kentucky, Ohio and back home with my adult daughter and my two pups. We couldn't meet with locals much due to Covid but saw a lot of beautiful country including Rocky Mountain National Park, Arches, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Grand Canyon and White Sands. It reminded me of how much natural beauty our country has to offer. I hope to RV around and see much more in the years to come.
A committed DIYer, my skill set lies between village idiot and rocket scientist (but closer to the former).
I have two aging pups, both Shih Tzus and great copilots. They go where I go.
To be determined and discovered.
Rochester, NY, upstate Finger Lake Region. A beautiful area to ride my Goldwing during summers.

Wingman was a gentleman when he stayed at our place this winter.
Glad WingMan could pass through on his way south and that his Buffalo Bills won while he was here. Happy to host him again should the occasion arise.
It has been delightful hosting WingMan and his polite and well mannered canine sidekicks. WingMan wa excellent on keeping us updated on his ETA.
His stay request was for one day, so we didn't much of a chance to visit.
WingMan is certainly welcome back here any time. Our hope is that our paths will cross again someday soon. Wingman's kindness and warmth radiated in so many ways.
WingMan was a great host. His place was very convenient to downtown. His offers of water, electric and use of his patio space and gas grill is hard to beat. Parking space is close to level too!
I was planning only to be one day with Wingman but it turned out that my other Rochester host was just not appropriate for my rig. Wingman went out of his way to be helpful and kind and supportive and has allowed me to stay for three whole days. He’s a wonderful knowledgeable RVer and I’ve learned a lot from him. If you’re coming through the Rochester area, he’s a wonderful place to stop.
Wingman was a very gracious host and offered several nice amenities. He allowed the use of his enclosed backyard and patio for relaxation for myself and my dog. We had several nice conversations and shared a very delicious dinner one evening. I highly recommend this host. The space was just perfect. Thank you Wingman!
WingMan was very accommodating and friendly. We had a great time and would recommend anyone to stay with him if you are in the area!
We had a great stay at this location. It’s exactly as described. The host is a very nice and generous man that has a convenient location to explore the area. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We hope to be back.
Our host allowed us to stay the night at his location despite being off on a camping trip himself. He conveniently left us an electrical chord just outside his garage and we had access to water nearby for which we are grateful.
The location is convenient to Lake Ontario, the great multi-use trail that runs along it and downtown.
We spent a very restful quiet night in Rochester. Recommended.
Host was very personable and accommodating. We shared some great tips. He had experience with boondocking in areas I have yet to visit and I showed him my setup for wifi and working remotely. Place itself is flat, level, quiet.
