I was born and raised in southern California where I lived until retiring. My wife, Luann, is from PA, but moved to CA in the late 90's where we met and got married. We decided to pull the trigger and retire in our 50's selling, donating or tossing 95% of what we owned carefully stashing (shoving more like it) the remainder of our worldly possessions into our trailer. Our loving, yet shy, dog Jenga has gradually adapted from same-place-same-thing (which she was quite content with) to a lot is different on most days.
I am learning every single day and know enough to know that the internet is my first stop for answers, as well as many forums (many of the entries can scare the stuffing out of you). My 30 year career has next to no relevance to our new full time RV living. We're learning a lot about electrical, solar, maintenance and adding a splash of color and decor to the interior of our home on wheels.
Yes. Jenga who is a 4 year old boxer, bulldog, terrier mix that several folks describe as a good looking pooch that is a bit of an enigma.
We sold our home in Orange County, CA and have gone full time in our 5th wheel.

We enjoyed having this couple stay at our spot. After giving them some events to visit in the area, they took us up on and selection and enjoyed them.
Great conversations, wish the mosquitoes weren't quite so thick or we would have enjoyed a fire with them. We truly hope they return someday. We were sad to see them go.
Shalamar Farm was blessed to host kollerskruizin906; they utilized water and 50amp electric. Model guests for BW, with excellent communication, kind, talkative laid back our kind of people, with a well behaved dog. Retired full timers, full of RV and travel knowledge. We shared our garden veggies and farm fresh eggs with them, laughter and lively conversations on the porch. We were fast friends and hope to keep in touch to follow their adventures! Welcome back anytime, we need more of these type of people! Stay safe and focused on each other.
We had the opportunity to host kollerskruizin906 recently. Very respectful folks and they are welcome back anytime. Safe travels!
We had a great time with them. We sat by the fire, chatted, its always a joy to get to know new people, and renew our vision of spending more time on the road. Come back anytime
This poor couple showed up after several days of rain. I had a toy hauler fifth in along with a large motor home and no problem. But, unfortunately this couple got stuck with their fifth. They got unstuck eventually and I was able to put them up elsewhere.
Great understanding couple welcome back anytime. (Except after a lot of rain!)
Safe travels and God bless.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to have had kollerskruizin906 cross our paths!
People often ask us what we like about being Boondockers Welcome hosts, and it is exactly the type of visit that we had with these folks. We met strangers that became quick friends (not to mention that they taught us the new skill of making yummy pizzas on the grill - I mean, BONUS!!).
These people are flexible, they are fun, and they are so easy to have around. Do not hesitate for one minute to have them stay at your location. You will be happy you did!
Don’t hesitate accepting the stay of this couple and their dog, Jenga!
Great time chatting and getting to know them!
A friendship was born!
Very conscientious of our property!
Just a nice fun couple!
Hope we get to meet here or on the road sometime in the future!
We would be happy to host them again.
We really enjoyed the time we were able to spend with kollerskruizin906 this week. They are such a great couple sharing an amazing retirement adventure. Our Eddie had an amazing time with Jenga too. Eddie's favorite boondockers are those who come with dogs. :) We welcome them back anytime to our spot and hope to see them on the road.
A great couple to come and visit for too short of a stay. We love to have people like this come to stay with us. We had a great time sitting with them (distanced) and chatting. Both were upbeat and wonderful people to have here. Their pup was also a great guest to have here. We look forward to having them again anytime or hopefully seeing them on the road.
