Although I have always had a home in the most densely populated state in the USA (New Jersey), most of my life has been spent helping people to enjoy the out-of-doors. I have traveled around the world teaching a variety of outdoor pursuits including: canoeing, mountaineering, cross country skiing and, most recently kayaking. I have been a tent camper for more than 50 years but recently I bought an Aliner camper that I plan to use as I travel around the country.
I love teaching about the out-of-doors! I will be happy to share my outdoor pursuits knowledge but, I can’t wait to learn from you about your part of the world.
I have camped in a variety of places around the world including England, New Zealand, and East Africa. My favorite places in the United States are in the Pacific Northwest, and Acadia and Everglades National Parks.
Seaside Park, New Jersey. I live two blocks from the ocean, But much of my time during the last 20 years was spent living and working at a residential environmental center on an island in Barnegat Bay.
My rig is a white, fifteen foot, 2021 Aliner, hard sided, popup camper. It looks like a teepee when set up. I tow it with a 2019, white, Subaru Outback with New Jersey license plates.
JimMerritt and his friend were really wonderful guests. Friendly folks with lots of interests and life experience to share. We would welcome them back anytime!
JimMerritt was a perfect guest and I would be happy to host him again.
