A semi-retired, widowed federal government transportation contractor, I've lived in the Hi-Desert for over 20 years. I spend a lot of time during the winter boondocking mostly in California, Arizona and Nevada.
Mainly the skill of surviving the trucking business for a few decades. As a teenager I was mentored in writing by the late Skip Webster, who among many credits wrote or produced over 50 episodes of a 70's TV program, Fantasy Island. Unfortunately my parents thought I should pursue other things. Needless to say I love art and writing.
I have two dogs, a 9 year old Pekenese named Won-Bean (name of a Korean movie star, long story) and a 2 year old Shih Tzu named Gypsy, and a cat, Ginger.
Born, raised, and lived part of my adult life in the Los Angeles area, where my trucking business still is. I also lived for a while in Queens, NY where I had a seafood delivery business. Love the Big Apple, but the desert is my home.
We sure enjoyed our stay here. Jim is awesome and very helpful. Very level area and great weather. We visited Joshua Tree Nat. Park and it’s amazing. Thanks again Jim for your hospitality and allowing us to stay at this beautiful place.
