We are a 5 acre hemp farm growing high yielding CBD medicine. NOT MARY JANE!!
We offer tours, planting festival, harvest festival, a Tee Pee, and horseback riding.
We have a dirt lot. It's dusty. Very little shade in the summer.
No hookups or dumping.
Can fit 10 RVs any length.
Pets welcome. When they poop clean it up.
Our place is yours, come and enjoy!
Award-winning TV commercial director. Check out our documentary page at Hemp Valley Colorado.
Killer hemp farmer. Love to share my knowledge.
Cats roam the area and we have a Weiner dog that visits with me. :)
No pitbulls or wolf mixes allowed.
Grand Junction, Colorado
Met Jason upon arrival (very helpful). Site very roomy and level. Two other RV’s were there but the site was so large that there was plenty of space between us. Heard a train sometime in the night but otherwise a very peaceful restful night. Easy to find and access, right off I-70. Very convenient and close to shopping & restaurants. Much thanks to our hosts and will definitely try to stay here again should we pass this way.
At least 6 rigs there that night, but all quiet. I never met the Hosts, but it was a great stopover point.
Stayed for 4 nights over labor day weekend to enjoy the surrounding area and maintenance/errands for the rig. Great hands off host, available as needed.
Nice, peaceful spot. Compact dirt, level parking area next to hemp fields. Quick response to request and we were met when we arrived and directed to the parking area. Worked well for our needs.
Nice level dirt lot. But entrance should be repaired bottom out on a class A38’
Thank you for providing your place to travelers. Felt safe and was very quiet at night.
We'll try to visit again when passing through and hope to meet our gracious hosts!
We had to depart early due to an upcoming closure on I-70 at Glenwood Canyon, but enjoyed the location and convenience. Hope to stay again during a future trip and learn more about the hemp.
I'll start with the positives first, I am grateful because I got to stay here for 2 nights for free. It was safe and off the street and a great location to check out the towns.
It was very odd though because for 2 nights we say and spoke to no one. No one ever greeted us or checked in. I didn't see people, which was disappointing because we chose this place to check out the hemp farm.
Also just for reference it's a very bumpy and unshaded parking area, if you have a big rig it's important to know.
Other than that it was a peaceful nights sleep.
Thank you for your hospitality and the generous sharing of your land it is very much appreciated! Peaceful, relaxed and quiet. Colorado Valley Hemp sets aside a very large area for overnighters right next to the hemp fields. We would DEFINITELY stay here again. Thank you, again!
The host was very accommodating but we had to unexpectedly cut our trip off short to get to our next destination. The site is a dirt lot next to an elementary school that fits several campers. We were not able to reach anyone once we got there (they are hard working) for a tour and hope to find out how we can support their business in exchange for our night stay.
This was a big dirt lot next to a hemp field. There was plenty of space to park and isolate from neighbours. Because it is a dirt lot, it does get muddy when it rains, but it's compact enough where you're unlikely to get stuck. You can fill and dump at RV Ranch up the street for $18.
Very easy, convenient, and flexible. If you're in-between places and need a safe place to park, these guys are totally cool.
Stayed 3 nights to go explore the area. The guys were great! We got a tour of the field and we were able to pick up some product.
It was very nice chatting with Jason! I showed him my rig & he pointed out the shade area to park. Quick stop, only stayed 1 night & off early morning.
I had the privilege to stay here for 3 nights and explore the area. They are amazing hosts, easy to talk to, friendly, and helpful. I met with Carter, one of the Farm Managers and he gave me a tour of my YouTube channel and talked about Hemp, the business, goals, and much more. Later that night, Jason, the other manager who also lives on-site, we chatted over a bottle of wine and he showed me his work in progress, a Dodge ProMaster he is converting for vanlife.
The site is a level dirt road area with easy access from the main road and the freeway. It is dark and quiet, with the exception of an occasional train that comes through. There were some amazing lightning storms off to the east that I was able to watch from my rig. In the far back left side, there are some trees you can park under for shade, but only enough room for one rig. I decided to park on the opposite side with views of the farm.
Colorado Valley Hemp is a great spot for a quick overnight, for a couple days if they have room. Friendly staff, unique location, and also in great proximity to Grand Junction, multiple wineries and breweries, and local restaurants.
The hosts were incredible and I loved getting to know them! Great guys and awesome to talk and hang out with. The surrounding area is beautiful and the towns are great! Couldn’t speak more favorably of our experience, the spot, or our hosts. Hope to see them again down the road!
We actually spent a lot of time in Palisade. Checked out the library, pool, and of course the fruit stands. Had to see what the peaches were all about. The site was level and plenty of room with 3 other rigs there with us. That said, there were dogs barking most of the night and train horns all throughout the night, which isn’t the fault of the host, but thought it was worth mentioning.
Easy to find, very prompt response from host, easy distance to Grand Junction. All we needed for a night on the road. Thank you Jason. (Sorry for not texting you directly about our ETA, as noted on the site.)
Close to everything but still out of town. Host recommended the Palisades Farmers Market which was a joy.
They were very nice and accommodating. I would stay again.
Pros right off a paved road with big level parking circle very quite.
Places to go Down Town Grand Junction for eats , drinks and check out live entertainment theatre music to comedians.
Colorado National Monument it's a scienic drive thru a canyon with walking trails.
High Quality CBD products
The best + the area is not on the tourist bus routes.
Negative: In my mind had a prettier setting but once you hit the pillow it's a great stay.
My thanks to the guys.
This is a great location outside of Grand Junction (a charming city and a perfect location for driving out to nearby attractions). The location is quiet and private, and the hosts are great!
While we didn't get to meet the owners, we did meet the farm manager. He was great, super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed learning about the hemp industry, seeing the nearby Colorado National Monument, and attending the Sunday Farmer's Market in Palisade. Nights were quiet and being so close to grocery stores etc was very helpful.
This place is a great overnight stop. The host is very accommodating. We will be back.
Our family stayed one night. The staff was very friendly and gave us a tour of the farm. Quiet area with some space to walk around and let the kids play. Would stay again.
We just stopped in for the night but everything was nice and quiet.
Very interesting story about the farm. Will watch documentary.
We parked in a big open dirt field under a tree, with a nice view of mountains and the farm and great star-gazing at night. No hookups, as clearly described in the writeup. We were the only visitors, although there is room for many more. The host was very pleasant and informative about the hemp farm, their products, and their documentary project on hemp farming. As long as you are prepared for true boondocking, this is a great spot and interesting experience.
Thanks so much, this was the perfect spot for us. Super friendly and informative stay!
Easy place to stay with zero hookups--choice of a small or large dirt parking lot, ample room for any size rig. If you stay in the large lot, wifi is unlikely to reach so be ready with your phone hotspot, which had good reception for us (Verizon). It was hot and dusty at the end of May so be prepared. Hosts made us feel welcome.
We didn't get a chance to visit with the host, but he greeted us and guided us in. As others have described, there is a very large (dirt) parking lot and there were 5 guests while there, but plenty of room. The location is only about 20 minutes from Colorado National Monument which if you haven't visited you must - it's spectacular! The wind picked up with some storms around which made it quite dusty, but otherwise, a very pleasant spot to stay (we stayed 2 nights).
Easy stopover not far off I70. Host sent us a picture of the entrance to the field (it's not the immediate left after you turn into the drive - it's the 2nd one). The satellite image hasn't caught up with the lot yet. A couple of trees on the West side for some very late evening shade. Nice views of the mountains from the East side of the lot. It is dusty and there may be some very dried compost leftovers in the lot. It's a farm! There were 4 other boondockers the night we were there. Very quite and easy to run out for fuel and a pizza. Will fit any size rig easily. Thanks coloradovalleyhemp!
This stop was very interesting. Jason was very informative and we learned a lot about the farm. There were several other campers and we had great visits. Recommend this place!!!!!
Great overnight space to stay! Manager on site is more than happy to speak to you about the farm. Products for sale are available. Might come back in the fall for harvest!
This was a great location for getting out and enjoying this area. Large big-rig friendly parking area with easy in and out which we appreciate! We didn’t see our host but he had let us know he was quite busy the days we were there. His communication was excellent! We would definitely stay here again.
If winds always come from the side of the entrance and there might be a storm coming thtee, we’d suggest parking along the long sides of the lot. We parked at the far end and the dust picked up by the winds seems to hit right where we parked. Walked dog during part of the storm and noticed where the dust hit.
Large area, quiet, and loved seeing the horses close by. Pretty flat so almost no leveling needed. Thanks to the hosts for making their area available for us. Dog loved staring at the horses. She couldn’t figure out what they were😁
This space is a big gravel parking lot next to some farm land and a school. Easy to find a level spot. There were 5 other RV’s when we were there, more than enough space for all. Let the dogs run around off leash with the neighbors dogs for a while. Property manager was very nice! Good place to rest for a night.
We were met at entrance to parking area.
Easy to get around town.
Had a nice stay.
Loved our stay at the hemp farm. Had great communication from our personable host. He made sure we were parked with a view of the local mesa. We had several enjoyable chats with him about our home state, travel and the farm.
If you are in western Colorado and have a big 5th wheel or Class A, Colorado Valley Hemp farm has a huge open field to park in. Our host met us and guided us to the area. The elementary school was nice to hear children playing and laughing again. Thanks for hosting us!
The host was very hospitable. The site had great views. There were no active hemp plants or sighs of previous seasons. The lot where we stayed is a level dirt area, nothing green or growing, which is great for larger rigs to navigate. I would like to have had less dirt, more greenery. That said, it is high mountain desert and it was mid April.
Very unique place. Host / manager was very welcoming. Learned quite a bit about hemp and CBD. Huge space for several rigs. The other guests were also very nice. Lots and lots of outdoorsy things to do all around. Hiking everywhere ! Thank you for hosting me.
While we had minimal contact with our hosts, our stay was nice and restful. Jason made sure we had a great spot.
This is an open field with plenty of parking and turn-around room. The farm manager is very friendly and helpful. We ended up staying 2 more days and it was no problem. We will definitely stay here again when we’re back that way!!! Hopefully we can take a tour and buy some fresh eggs next time 😋
Easy access. Great view. Enjoyed visiting with the manager and learning about hemp farming. Would stay there again.
We had a friendly welcome and great stay for the night, it was easy to find and we will definitely come back and stay again!
As the listing says, this spot couldn't be more convenient. Easy access and very easy parking. We were there before the beginning of the growing season so there wasn't much going on at the farm. But our two dogs loved roaming through the empty field. And I loved meeting the friendly horse who lives on the neighboring property.
We didn't meet the owners, but did get to spend some time chatting with the farm manager. Super nice guy!
Thanks for having us!
Had a great brief stay here, hope to return when the envisioned renovations and harvest festivals etc get going!
We stayed for 2 nights to catch up on sleep and relax before we continued our adventure. This was the perfect stop- easy and convenient location, and quiet enough for us (trains pass close by a few times a day/night, but really wasn’t a bother one bit!!) We were able to take a tour and learn a little more about the farm, the reason and passion behind it, and what the future looks like for Colorado Valley Hemp. We look forward to returning in the future, hopefully in season when we can really get a feel for the whole operation!😊 Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area👍🏼
Conveniently located off the 70. Walmart and other stores just down the road. Didn't see the owner as he was out of town during our overnight but was easy to communicate with.
It was very much appreciated that we were able to pull in after dark. Right off the highway made it very convenient.
