My husband, Darrell, and I retired 4 years ago. We like people, wine, breweries, live music, camping, walking/hiking, biking, and kayaking…being outside is important. We love traveling, meeting new people, and have been to Europe a few times and done some cruises. We were ready for U.S. travel, and an RV! We are excited about our new 'tiny home', and the possibilities it offers. We have been out on 3 trips-seeing our daughters in the Northwest, plus visiting Lava Beds National Park, Burney Falls State Park, The Pinnacles National Park camping with our brother and sister-in-law, back up to the Northwest via the California and Oregon coast, and then south to the Central Coast of California. We stayed at RV parks to get a sense of what they were like, costs, and amenities available, state and national campgrounds, our daughter's driveways, and semi closed campgrounds. We know we have many more options to explore…boondocking being one of the options. So far, we are having a wonderful time, and we've only just touched the surface of possibilities…exciting times!
Well, we have been RVing for a year now. We like boondocking more than RV parks! We haven't used this service yet, as we like not having a schedule. But, we hope to get more organized this next year, so that we can meet more folks on this site.
We like to garden…so anything from weeding, pruning, mowing would be great since we don't intend to be home to do any of our own! We'd be happy to help…
We don't have one yet…but we host Couch Surfers, so we understand the concept. This is all so new to us, but we are excited about meeting new friends and seeing new places :) It's about connections, and we look forward to connecting!
We boondocked off Hwy 395 overlooking Mono Lake. We had the place to ourselves and just loved it!
We live in Chico, CA…home of Chico State University, Sierra Nevada Brewery, Bidwell Park, to name a few places! Chico is flat and wonderful for biking and walking. We've been here 33 years, and for now it's home base.
We purchased a class B, 2011 Roadtrek 210 Popular in September, 2014. It is 23' with the bike rack on. There are no slide outs or funky decorations…still working on how best to utilize the storage and living spaces.
