We are just getting into the RV life and looking forward to seeing the country and meeting new people. We are empty-nesters, but have a dad that lives with us and several pets.
We have 5 dogs, 2 pet pigs and a rabbit. Our dogs are our family and they take turns traveling in the RV with us. The rest stay home with their grandpa.
We live on 10 acres in a rural area that is easily accessible to large city life.
38' fifth wheel with 4 slideouts
Friendly, generous and the kind of conversation we enjoy. Their 3 small dogs were well behaved and a delight to have around. Thank you for spending a good chunk of your vacation with us. We would love to see you and the pack again. Hopefully we can stop by your place on our way north this summer. Happy trails!
We thoroughly enjoyed hosting sdhaskell for three nights. They are delightful to get to know. They had their older dogs with them and it was nice to be able to engage with them since we recently lost our dog. We spent a good bit of time with them over the days they were here and became fast friends.
Thank you for the compliments. I’m so sorry it rained your entire stay. You are really troopers. Great guests. Highly recommended.
Loved visiting the short time they were here. Welcome back anytime.
Sdhaskell is welcome back anytime. We enjoyed having them stay with us. They were very respectful of the property.
sdhaskell spent a short stay here on the mountain, but long enough to get to know this enjoyable couple and lovely daughter, "home" for the holidays. Before they took off for their vacation spit, we shared some disc golf time. Always welcome back! Merry Christmas
sdhaskell, you truly do have a piece of paradise off the beaten path! Very grateful for your hospitality and generosity. One of our favorite parts about this RV lifestyle is meeting wonderful people like yourselves. Enjoyed visiting with you both as well as your dad. Would highly recommend anyone passing through the area!
We've been Boondockers Welcome members for a while, but hadn't stayed at a Host location until now. What a great experience and wonderful one night stay. Level gravel site, electric hookup and beautiful, peaceful location. We enjoyed visiting with our hosts and will definitely 'stop by' again when traveling in the area.
What a beautiful property and the owners we so friendly! We made new friends . The spot was perfect. Saw quite a few deer 🦌 and they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable! We would definitely go back if we are in the area . Thank you so much
We enjoyed our stay at Off the Beaten Path, it is a beautiful property and our hosts were wonderful people! Wish we had spent more time with them!
Such a treat to have 50 amp and sewer at a boondocking location! And we had great cell service there too!
Thanks so much for your generosity and hospitality!
sdhaskell are among the best hosts we've stayed with. Both hospitality and convenience were both over-the-top. We're just plotting now on when we can return.
The hosts were very welcoming and the property is really nicely set up for guests. Nights were quiet and peaceful.
We were so excited to see that our travels brought us back by these guys! It was a quick but nice one night stop. They even had a new gravel area for parking!
We were so glad we were able to stay. Our hosts were wonderful and their property is beautiful! Hope to see them again sometime.
We would highly recommend this stop! The hosts were amazing people. Very friendly and hospitable. It was quiet and peaceful. And it had a sewer and electric hookup!
Host was very friendly and accommodating. Nice level site, easy access. Would love to come back one day. I was born in Lancaster and it was interesting to see the changes in the area.
We stayed with sdhaskell for one night. They were welcoming and friendly. Nice open space to park with plenty of room. They have several dogs which were well behaved. We would definitely stay here again if we pass through the area.
We had a great time at Off the Beaten Path. We thoroughly enjoyed our spot, the pups, and deer! Thank again for the great stay!
This is our second stay here, and we have just been so blessed by their gracious hospitality! The site for our RV was so easily accessible and having electricity and sewer available are real pluses. Very special people too!😊
Fully agree with earlier references. The only thing better than this idyllic, quiet, and convenient spot (50A, sewer & avail water) were the hosts themselves. We arrived as guests and left feeling like our family had grown by three people (and several dogs). We stayed four nights in a 42 ft fifth wheel and had them over for a couple of meals. Seemed like when we weren't eating together, we were texting each other and laughing at each other's responses. You know this feels like telling people about your favorite fishing hole, I'm tempted to leave a negative review just to scare people away so I can keep my new friends all to myself. "sdhaskell", thank-you for hosting us in such expansive manner.
We had the best time and made new friends! This couple is so generous and the nicest! We got to hang out quite a bit and really enjoyed their company. Easy to get to with our 39ft 5th wheel and plenty of room to maneuver. We will definitely come back any chance we get. They are always up for a good game of corn hole and lots of laughs. Our favorite boondockers place for sure! Thank you for your exceptional hospitality!
I stopped here for 5 nights and can't say enough good things about my stay. Easily accessible, semi-remote (at least it seems that way since it's so quiet) but just a few miles from Lancaster shopping and an easy drive to Charlotte if you crave big city life. Plenty of room to get in and maneuver, electric and sewer right at hand make it ideal. The hosts, however, outshine the space. Welcoming, friendly and very helpful. It was more of a visit with friends than a BW stay!
The nicest, most hospitable people you'll meet anywhere. True Southern (and Canadian) hospitality on 10 wooded acres. The only negative about our stay was we were under the weather while we were there, so we didn't get to visit as much as we would have liked, yet we feel like we've known them forever.
