We love to travel and explore the country.

Do you know or have you hosted this user?

My wife and I travel with our Golden Retriever Gracie. We like to camp at State and National Parks and COE campgrounds. We have stayed at a couple of city owned campgrounds that were nice. We look forward to hosting and hope to be a guest on our travels.

Aimlesswanderers's Pets

Gracie, our Golden Retriever. She is very friendly. She loves her ball and children. She tolerates high energy dogs. She has two cat buddies at home.

Favorite Boondocking Locations

Pharaoh Campground at Garden of the Gods in Southern Illinois. It is a forest service campground with no hook ups and a hand pump for water. There are only about 10 sites and some are tight with large pine trees. It is a beautiful area.

Aimlesswanderers's Hometown

Edwardsville, Illinois. There are many restaurants and stores in Edwardsville. It is about 20 miles NE of St. Louis, MO. It is close to Interstate I-55 and I-70 / I-270 and I-255.

Two Nice Nights with a Friendly Host

I knew I liked these folks when they explained their screen name "Aimless Wanderers". They enjoy driving with no particular destination and at each intersection, randomly choose anew direction!
They were fun to chat with, albeit briefly. If they'll have me, I'd love to stay with them again someday.

Great location with great hosts

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay with Aimlesswanderers . Quiet, safe, clean and picturesque location that is close to a an intestate. The great hosts, made us feel welcomed, which made for a relaxing night. The homemade blackberry jelly was a plus. Our hosts also provided us with a personalized overview of the area and suggested next day activities along the Mississippi river. Leveled site with easy access and electric hook up were an added bonus.
