I have a small farm with a couple of goats, chickens, rabbits and donkeys. I work as a Scrum master and project manager for a large technology company so that I can support myself and young adult daughter who attends community college and resides with me. In the warmer months I'm out and about early to milk the goats and feed the chickens and rabbits. In the colder months I tend to do chores in the afternoons when it is warmer. Recently I purchased a small Class C so I can travel weekends to mountain bike, road ride or hike as well as visit family in other states. In addition to the farm animals which I count as pets but do not travel with, my daughter and I each have a dog and there are a couple of friendly cats on the property.

Skills & Expertise to Share

I have 2 goats that I milk and I make delicious cheese and yogurt. At one time I had an operational aquaponics system in the greenhouse.

FarmWoman's Pets

We have 2 dogs, one small 4 years old and one medium to large 6 months old that we might occasionally bring on our trips. They are well behaved and we keep them on a leash or in our fenced in back yard.

FarmWoman's Hometown

Our home is located on 12 acres in a country setting with a small pond and within 15-30 minutes of Raleigh, Durham and Wake Forest.

Fabulous Site..Most Gracious Hostess

Spend 3 very quiet and peaceful days here. Most generous and friendly hostess, welcoming and helpful. Easy to park and set up. Amenities were terrific and very much appreciated. Loved seeing the goats and donkeys. Really appreciated the ease to get to my dentist for an emergency repair. Loved our visit and will return soon. Thank you Theresa for everything!

Beautiful little farm, level spot, and crickets chirping!!

What more could you ask for? We were the first guests and she was an excellent hostess!! When we arrived, there was a welcome tub waiting for us with Wi-Fi information and a magazine of things to do in the area! The spot was spacious and level. We kept our windows open all night and listened to the crickets chirping and the goats softly bleating. When we left this morning, we were able to leave cash in the welcome tub for the hook ups. What a great little system!
