I recently retired from a career in residential remodelling and am looking forward to exploring the country with the flexibility that my small camper will allow. I have three themes for my travels: 1) natural wonders, 2) art museums & galleries, and 3) “weird tourist attractions”. My wife of 30+ years will join me occasionally but she still has a job she loves so we won’t travel together full time. I have an older dog that I hope will be my traveling companion for many more years to come!
Happy to see if my residential building skills can help in any way.
Yes a very gentle older mixed breed dog that is about 40 pounds. She is called Sojo after the abolitionist Sojourner Truth. My wife is a history teacher and she gets to name all of our pets.
I’m new to this!
Lawrenceville, NJ. My wife and I live on campus at The Lawrenceville School, a private boarding high school.
Honda Pilot tow vehicle I’m traveling with a Taxa Cricket travel trailer.
We had an enjoyable time with Kurt. While the weather was not ideal, it was a good visit, and we got a nagging issue worked out with his trailer brakes, and we both learned something along the way! Would love to see him back anytime if he's in the area.
Had a nice visit from Kurt. Good communications on arrival. Quiet, friendly and conscientious. Hardly knew he was here. Welcome back anytime.
We were happy we were able to accommodate this Boondockers Welcome guest at Candy Cane Corral. The time was too short so we look forward to many return visits when COVID 19 is over and we can get better acquainted. We wish him Godspeed and safe travels until he comes our way again.
Arrived when he said he would, no noise. Would have no issues hosting him again
We thoroughly enjoyed Kurtschulte's visit and hope that he will come back if he is ever in the area again. Not really knowing what to expect since this was our first guest I was pleasantly surprised when he kept us posted on his ETA as he was traveling and when he arrived as scheduled he quickly found a spot to setup his trailer and got situated. With RVing and remodeling in common we had lots to talk about and got a little more than we bargained for in his advice and contracting experience.
The reason we enjoy hosting Boondockers is because of guests like Kurtschulte. He was courteous, communicative, kind and friendly. He is very self sufficient and needed no hook ups, but still left us a thoughtful gift. Hope to host him again!
We were happy to host this very nice guest at Candy Cane Corral for an overnight stay. We look forward to longer return visits so we can get better acquainted. We wish him Godspeed and safe travels as he returns home.
Sorry we missed seeing you but glad you found a little respite. Hope to see you soon. Be Safe on the road
Enjoyed your visit. Hate there was not more time. Love the honey! Hope you enjoy the warm weather. Let us know how you like your destination. We always like hearing about new destinations to visit.
Enjoyed hosting our guest and his wonderful fur buddy. Very thoughtful informing us of his ETA and just such a pleasant guest. You are always welcomed here at Treblehook Farm.
Kurtschulte came and went too quickly. As it so often seems to us with our Boondocker guests: this was someone we’d like to spend more time with. Social distancing makes it more difficult.
Kurtshulte was a model guest in every way.
Quiet, courteous, and respectful. We enjoyed being his host. Looking forward to our paths crossing again one day.
When we can't go find new friends out on the road ourselves it's always nice to find new ones in our driveway. K and his 4-legged buddy Sojo were a pleasure.
Kurtschulte we welcome you back anytime. You expanded our horizons by sharing your travel plans, seeking the unusual. Be safe, enjoy, and may our paths cross again sometime.
