We both had full careers with the New York Public Library and are now comfortably retired.
Before I retired, the IT department once described me as a "power-user". Heaven help us if that's true, but I *can* negotiate my way through low to moderate level software issues. Not your guy for hardware repair though. Know a bit about cooking, a bit about dogs. My wife is "crafty": sewing, knitting, etc.
We travel with two wonderful shelties! Elvis is an older fellow, a little shy with people but great with other dogs. Bradley is the puppy, outgoing and full of bounce. They are both well behaved, though Elvis will initially bark when excited: not really an issue unless you’re a mailman.
We travel up and down the east coast a lot. We have family in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. We're also active in the Chinook Camping Club, and we rally with our fellow Chinook-owners often. New England is another favorite destination for us, though we've mostly stayed in campgrounds there. We like to boondock at casinos and Cracker Barrels when we're traveling: we enjoy the food options.
Teaneck NJ is just a few miles outside New York City, right on commuter bus routes (which served us well when we were on the clock). We love to avail ourselves of NYC theater and all the good food in the area.
Chinook Concourse 21 footer, the sports car of motor homes! 2005 model year (built on a 2004 Ford E350 chassis). Timeless good looks. We can squeeze in most anywhere you could park a pickup truck. Low clearance, no slides.
