My wife and I are long-time boaters (sail and trawler), who are retired in SW Florida. We have enjoyed living and traveling in our boats over the past 40+ years and are now looking to do some "land cruising". We started out with a 20’ travel trailer, but soon traded it for a 25’ trailering pocket trawler! We are both non-smokers, enjoy a touch of wine in the evening, and are always looking to "see what's around the next corner" in our travels, both on land and water
Having sailed and trawler cruised for many years, we both are fairly experienced in all the aspects of maintaining the systems in a vessel - which transfers over to camping very nicely. In addition, my wife is a retired nurse.
We have one cat who has expressed a great dis-interest in camping, whether boating or trailering.
Being new to RV'ing, our favorite locations remain to be seen, be we are partial to exploring National/State Parks in wooded areas.....and anywhere there is water or horses.
I am a former military brat/navy vet (so no real home town), my wife was born and raised in Kennett Square, PA. We have lived in Port Charlotte, FL since 2002.
We are a bit different than your standard travel trailer. We tow a 25’ C-Dory pocket trawler- fully self contained and live aboard capable. Our present tow vehicle is a Ram 1500.
Our guests were wonderful and we hope they will return. The are truly a delightful couple.
Very friendly. During our conversation. Asked about our sailboat, shared a lot of great information from his sailing and boating experience (I'm new to sailing and appreciate the information).
Very self sufficient kind family. I was not home when they stayed, but they made themselves at home on the concrete pad, and were great with communication. It was pleasure to have them, I welcome them anytime and wish them the best on all their travels!
We hosted Nwheeler for one night, but they visited once before. They are very personable and a pleasure to talk with, but are quiet and gracious. They have life experiences that are interesting to hear about. We look forward to future visits with them!
It was a pleasure to host this couple. Very quiet and thoughtful. They are welcome back. They only stayed overnight, but I hope they can stay longer on their next visit.
I enjoyed hosting the Nwheelers. They were very friendly and I would have liked to have more time to visit with them! We had rain after dinner and did not have the opportunity to talk more. I look forward to another visit from them in the future. They are welcome any time!
