My wife and I are long-time boaters (sail and trawler), who are retired in SW Florida. We have enjoyed living and traveling in our boats over the past 40+ years and are now looking to do some "land cruising" in our new trailer. We are both non-smokers, enjoy a touch of wine in the evening, and are always looking to "see what's around the next corner" in our travels.
Having sailed and trawler cruised for many years, we both are fairly experienced in all the aspects of maintaining the systems in a vessel - which transfers over to camping very nicely. In addition, my wife is a retired nurse.
We have one cat who has expressed a great dis-interest in boating.....hoping her travel mood will be compatible with camping.
Being new to RV'ing, our favorite locations remain to be seen, be we are partial to exploring National/State Parks in wooded areas.....and anywhere there is water or horses.
I am a former military brat/navy vet (so no real home town), my wife was born and raised in Kennett Square, PA. We have lived in Port Charlotte, FL since 2002.
Rockwood Geo Pro 19 FBS towed by a short-bed Nissan Frontier. Overall max length of trailer is 20' 9", including tongue and back ladder.
It was a pleasure to host this couple. Very quiet and thoughtful. They are welcome back. They only stayed overnight, but I hope they can stay longer on their next visit.
I enjoyed hosting the Nwheelers. They were very friendly and I would have liked to have more time to visit with them! We had rain after dinner and did not have the opportunity to talk more. I look forward to another visit from them in the future. They are welcome any time!
