We enjoy travel, bike riding, moderate/easy hikes, simple food, cooking, baking, wine, beer, cribbage, reading, and s'mores.
Skills? We both survived childhood without bike helmets and seatbelts so that should count for something.

If all goes to plan our new hosting location will be in Afton, Virginia We expect to begin hosting again this fall, 2021 but in the meantime, as we stage our departure from our home of the past 24 years, we're going to close up our driveway to visitors.

Per plan, they slipped in after dark and I never heard them. We had a nice brief conversation this morning and they were on their way. Definitely welcome to return.
Very quiet and friendly. Responsible pet owners. Dogs are quiet and well behaved. Welcome to stay anytime!
TJShenValley and their pups arrived with a little light left to take a hike in the woods before we realized 35 degrees was too cold to stand and chat. Early before they headed south we tackled the trails one more time. Not any warmer but conversations were flowing and didn't feel the cold. A great but short visit, looking forward to next time. Welcome anytime!
Too brief, too cold and too Covid to have enjoyed the visit like we wanted to!
T & J were great hosts! They gave us plenty of instructions for how to get there and setup, and they were there to help when we arrived. We had a nice chat on their patio for over an hour after we setup. They even saw us off the next morning. Highly recommend you stay there if you’re nearby.
T&J greeted us with open arms and we felt welcomed as soon as we stepped out of the car. After we got settled, we chatted out back and my pup even fell asleep in T’s lap. :) It was a pleasure to meet them and hope to be back in the future.
Wonderful hosts and great location between Shenandoah National Park and Blue Ridge Parkway.
We had a wonderful visit. Directions were very clear. Their driveway was open for us. After landing they invited us to join them for a while for a visit on their patio. They recommended a restaurant downtown where we had a wonderful meal. I hope we can meet up again!
Yes, their place is in a regular neighborhood, so like another reviewer, I was a little worried about not imposing on the neighbors with my trailer even though it's on the small side. It ended up being entirely my issue--there was no problem with the neighbors or with the hosts. They were even nice enough to move their cars out of the driveway so I would have plenty of room to park my trailer. That was typical for how nice they are. Plus they invited me in for a beer on their porch. How nice for a solo traveler at the end of a long day! My stay was brief but the hosts made it so nice.
I was a little concerned that this host was in a neighborhood. I was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived how easy it was to navigate the roads and how much room there was. The place we parked was very level. The hosts invited us to their screened porch after we were settled. We had a wonderful time chatting with them. We hope to stay in touch with them that we might travel together someday.
The host were very nice and accommodating, Thank you for a wonderful stay.
