The host is a great guy and the location is nice - right by Atlanta. It's right by a quiet street. It is close to Stone Mountain (a must do if you love nature). I also recommend the Atlanta Botanic Gardens while you're here. I stayed here in a 30 foot 5th wheel.
Once I got parked, the setup was fine! When I pulled up, I didn't think I would be able to get up over and then down what, to a flatlander from Illinois, seemed like an insurmountable slope! The host came out, reassured me, and guided me into the spot, and it worked out great! Thanks, Tegra
Owner is nice and makes you feel welcome and at home. It was nice and peaceful. Owner is helpful a has lots of knowledge about many subjects. Thanks!
Stayed in woods edge for 2 nights and would I definitely stay again! 3 miles from stone mountain and 17 min from downtown Atlanta. Host helped me, (more like I helped him) into my spot and also had chance to chat, extremely interesting to say the least!
The host was very cordial and accommodating. The location was tranquil and quiet… And there was a great wooded area nearby, made us feel like we were camping in the woods. A very pleasant experience indeed!
Very quiet, safe, clean place, host very accommodating and quick response. Thank you so much
Lovely hosts! Convenient location! So thankful for the stay and the advice on our rig!
Great location! Close to Atlanta, but in the beauty of the forest. Wish we had more time to hang out with the host.
See my prior review. Nothing but great things to say. Amazing dude.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. The host is very kind and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable during my stay. I highly recommend anyone to make this spot part of their travels :)
It was nice to meet Milo, Yvonne, and Nino! Great host and very hands on in helping get us set up and settled in. Milo’s a really nice guy and interesting to talk with. Thanks again for the hospitality!
Milo welcomed us and helped my husband back into our spot on a steep incline. Couldn’t have done it without his help. He was gracious and kind the whole time we were there. We would highly recommend this host!
I can’t say enough great things about the host and his colleagues that are around and about sometimes at what is his office space. He is extremely welcoming, smart and helpful. The space wouldn’t be ideal for every rig due to steep driveway and somewhat narrow parking, as mentioned by other reviewers, but for me and my 17’ Casita travel trailer it was fine (if and when his huge Class A is out it’s much more spacious). If you aren’t familiar with Atlanta, the area isn’t in or near the center of the action, so to speak, but rather is sort of in the suburbs. However there is a plethora of options for shopping, food, etc very close by, and the more fun and walkable parts of the city (eg Midtown, Buckhead, downtown, etc) are all within 25 minutes or so, depending on traffic.
If his rig is there he uses the 50amp dedicated plug for it, so you will need to use the standard 20amp residential type outlet - which probably won’t run a large AC or multiple power hungry components. But it’s fine for charging and the basic stuff. And water is always available (there is even an outdoor HOT water spigot, which I’ve never seen before!).
It isn’t the most quiet spot I’ve ever boondocked or moochdocked or parked in, as would be expected in a mostly commercialized area, but nor is it unusually noisy, and the street itself is a dead end cul de sac, which is nice for dog walking and such.
We just picked up our first RV and had no place to rest after a 7 hour, white knuckle drive. Walmart said no, but on our first time boondocking we were welcome at this place! The host made it easy for us to park and we had a good night’s rest!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. Great location. The owner of the property is friendly and welcoming! The driveway is a little steep but we were able to get level and comfortable for our 3 night stay. Quiet and peaceful. We barely noticed the traffic noise in the distance. Definitely recommend for your Atlanta area stay. We look forward to staying again.
Host was really nice and accommodating. Area was nice and peaceful with plenty of trees.
Extremely friendly and helpful people.
We were allowed to use the 20A hookup, as well as water.
The temperatures were pretty low, so 20A was perfect to keep the batteries topped up, run our coffee machine and computers, etc. We used our propane heater at night.
We were in a 40ft motorhome, and were able to fit in the spot. If you're pulling a toad, just drive down the hill to the flat turnaround spot to unhook, or use the big parking lot at the beginning of the street (in front of the restaurant) to unhook / hook up the toad.
Thanks again to Milo, Richard and Max for letting us stay!
Spot was nice and quiet, and host was very friendly and welcoming. He said "mi casa es su casa" and you felt like he meant it. Parking space was down a steep driveway that would be a challenge for a trailer, but I suspect the host would find a way to accommodate you elsewhere on his property if it was a problem.
This was a great location and Milo is an amazing host. The space is quiet and spacious. Make sure you call ahead to discuss the driveway. It was perfect for our 24 ft trailer but we can see longer trailers struggling with angles. Close to lots of Atlanta and plenty of services nearby.
"TEGRA" is a delightful gentleman. He responded quickly to our request, gave perfect directions, and came out to greet us when we pulled up. He offered us a couple of choices of where we could park. We chose the cul-de-sac; it was spacious, flat, safe, and quiet. We'll surely come back if we're in the area again. Thanks, TEGRA!
We were not able to fit our 34 foot fifth wheel in the listed space. Because of the angle of the driveway, we would not have been able to hook back up to our hitch to leave. The host was accommodating and allowed us to stay somewhere else on their property where we needed to use our generator and did not have water hookup.
