Anne and I immigrated to Canada in 1975 from South Africa and prior to that Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). We have three children (Boy, Girl, Boy) who have given us 7 grandchildren.
We love traveling and spend the winters in Arizona, S. California,Texas & the Baha in Mexico. We travel in a 40 ft. Diesel pusher and tow a cadillac STX. WE have turned the trips to and from the west coast of the US into adventures and have seldom taken the same road. We love to stop in small towns that we have never heard of and discover what they have to offer.
I have been, all my life a hands on do it yourselfer, therefore I can dabble into auto mechanics as well as put up drywall(somebody else can do the sanding). Woodwork of course was my business and passion and in retirement I buy, Reno and sell old homes.
My wife Anne was a Switchboard operator/Receptionist for many years until her health forced her to retire. She has however developed into a pretty good artist and has picked up other skills at our winter RV Resorts in Lapidary, silversmithing and a variaty of other crafts.
We both like to Dine out and go to good shows. Meeting new people has been the most memorable occasions of our travels.
We don't have a favorite since we seldom Boondock but have been talking about doing it for a while.
We have lived in the same house for 41 years (1976 - 2017) in the quaint small historical Valley town of DUNDAS, in Ontario, Canada. A beutifull place in the summer but a good one to stay away during the winter. Dundas is a 45 minute drive to Toronto or to Niagara Falls. It is surrounded by the City of Hamilton and Towns like Burlington, Ancaster, Watredown, Stoney Creek. These communities all hug the North west shores of Lake Ontario.
2001 Newmar, Kountry Aire. - Two slides (driver side) and at the moment we flat tow a cadillac SRX.
