I am originally from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and my wife of fifteen years is from Toronto, Ontario. We are both high school teachers in the Flin Flon School Division, we have a four year old daughter and two dogs. I love to do documentary photography work and take on too many building projects while Libby loves to write, do yoga, and practice mindfulness (as do I). We rebuilt a 2002 GMC school bus into a skoolie and started a national podcast called A Canadian Skoolie (www.acanadianskoolie.ca)
Daniel - Teacher, photographer, builder, sailor, hydroponic Gardner, leather worker, snowboarder, international traveler
Libby - Teacher, writer, skating, hiking, reader, mother, skier, international traveler.
We have two dogs (Jack and Cora) that like to bark when people arrive to our house and deter any wanderers from coming onto our property. Once they smell you and you stick around, they become your best friend. We do not travel with our dogs. We have friends that love to stay at our place whenever we are on the road.
Boondocking is new to us. We have always traveled by plane to visit family in Ontario and Nova Scotia or hosteled whenever traveling on our own internationally. We love to meet people through Air bnb and especially couch surfing.
We tell everyone we work in Flin Flon, Manitoba since most Canadians have a general idea of where Flin Flon is or has heard of Bobby Clark. So we work in Flin Flon, however we live in the border the town Creighton, Saskatchewan. We live on a private lake. The area is full of wildlife and if you come here in the right season you will see the northern lights. Flin Flon is famous for its hockey, but I believe there are even deeper roots in the arts (music, painting). Fishing in this area is world class and the people go out of their way to help visitors. Every season has something unique to offer.
