We are a blended family who is ramping up to go full time in a camper in two years. We are developing our location independent revenue streams while still planted in a home in the suburbs of Minneapolis/St./ Paul. We also have a youtube channel that we are documenting our journey from now til launch. We look forward to meeting full and part-timers and learning from them! That is why we are excited to be hosts. We are aware that our location may not be a desired destination, but we are more than happy to host folks on an overnight (or more) as they make their way to other points of interest. We are 20 minutes from St. Paul, which is a beautiful bigger city, and 40 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and Bloomington (Mall of America/Airport).
I (Bryan) like to tinker with things and repair many things. Sort of a "Jack-of-all-trades".
yes, 2 Laborador dogs (brother and sister), and they travel with us when we go.
We have yet to boondock.
Cottage Grove, MN
Average travel trailer with slide-outs, and a pickup to tow
Very nice stay would have them here again for longer
Very friendly and helpful people and I even got some free stuff for my daughter that they were giving away. Fairly quiet neighborhood even though there were a lot of houses and children. Nice flat spot to park.
Honestly- we’ve not used to people being so friendly and accommodating. It was like a breath of fresh air. We’re most grateful for their hospitality and friendship.
We had a great stay at The B Kave place. Host was extremely nice and helpful. it was pleasant to talk to them and got some suggestions for the places to explore. They checked to make sure we have everything we need. The location is very convenient, close to most of attractions. Love The B Kave and the twins city . Many many thanks ☺️
We were so glad to have found the B Kave! Great hosts and a great location for the Twin Cities area. We changed plans last minute and decided to go to the Twin Cities for Labor Day weekend. All the commercial RV parks were booked solid and we were afraid we wouldn’t be able to find a place to park our fifth wheel. The hosts were so accommodating and gracious. We are so thankful to them for their hospitality. Hope to see them when they come through our neck of the woods. Thank you TheUncompassedLife! Our pups thank you too!
Hugely accommodating when we needed a last minute revision to our travel plans. It was a great stay and these two really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Wish the storms would have buggered off to give us some free time to sit out and relax, but alas. Until next time, best wishes to you both on your adventures.
Wonderful spot in quiet, safe neighborhood. Friendly, gracious hosts, we enjoyed talking with them and wish them the best on their future travels!
Doc and I appreciate the host letting us stay on their property. Doc was not feeling well so we took the opportunity to relax so he could get well. He seems to recovery from his illness. It was a very quiet and relaxing stay. Thank you again for having us.
We had a superb stay at "The B Kave"! Our hosts were so thoughtful and had an extension cord for electric ready when we arrived, and offered us water as well. Our dog also appreciated their generosity in letting her run around their backyard. This was our first time using Boondockers Welcome, and we had a great experience!
Wow, if only folks knew how wonderful our community is! The hosts of The B Kave are two of the nicest people you'd ever want to cross paths with. The warmth, generosity and thoughtfulness they greeted me with goes beyond the words I have to describe.
Thank you for a fantastic stay, we will see each other again soon for sure!
We enjoyed our two night stay at The B Kave. Our Hosts were welcoming and offered to assist us in any way they could. As we were visiting family a half hour away in Minneapolis, we did not get a chance to visit much with our Hosts, but will certainly be following The UncompassedLife on YouTube.
These lovely people were very responsive and considerate! We are so grateful.
Thank you to theuncompassedlife for hosting us last week! Hosts were welcoming and friendly, eager to share tips as mom and I start this rv adventure.
We had such a great stay here. The hosts were amazing, very accommodating, super helpful, and very friendly. We highly recommend staying here if passing through. We chose to stay here so we could visit the mall of America which was about a 25 minute drive from the hosts location. It was perfect!
The hosts made sure they were home to help us park and setup. And, of course, this 2020, the year of Covid, so our greetings and reception was distancing outdoors. Nevertheless, we had the sense from the start that the hosts were eager to meet and share stories and future plans. We indeed had a great time sharing.
It was mid October in Minnesota. You might think frost and dreary weather, but, we had delightful weather with peak color change where ever we explored.
On Saturday night, our hosts invited us to campfire complete with S'mores. We love campfires. We always learn something while sitting around the fire. We usually have a good sense of time, but I looked at my watch and it was 11:00 pm already. Time flies around the campfire.
We took the opportunity to spend one whole day to explore from Hasings to St. Paul. Using the map and gps, we started at Ravine Park, then hugged the Mississippi River shoreline as close as we could on the way to St. Paul.
There are residential areas, lots of parks, overlooks, industrial areas, islands, marinas. We made it to Mound Park in St. Paul before returning to the hosts.
The parking arrangement slopes a bit. Our host helped us to get level with some of his 2x4s. The hosts power is 20 amp on a dedicated breaker.
We hope to follow our hosts on social media as they make progress with their plans.
