We are a blended family who is ramping up to go full time in a camper in two years. We are developing our location independent revenue streams while still planted in a home in the suburbs of Minneapolis/St./ Paul. We also have a youtube channel that we are documenting our journey from now til launch. We look forward to meeting full and part-timers and learning from them! That is why we are excited to be hosts. We are aware that our location may not be a desired destination, but we are more than happy to host folks on an overnight (or more) as they make their way to other points of interest. We are 20 minutes from St. Paul, which is a beautiful bigger city, and 40 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and Bloomington (Mall of America/Airport).
I (Bryan) like to tinker with things and repair many things. Sort of a "Jack-of-all-trades".
yes, 2 Laborador dogs (brother and sister), and they travel with us when we go.
We have yet to boondock.

The hosts made sure they were home to help us park and setup. And, of course, this 2020, the year of Covid, so our greetings and reception was distancing outdoors. Nevertheless, we had the sense from the start that the hosts were eager to meet and share stories and future plans. We indeed had a great time sharing.
It was mid October in Minnesota. You might think frost and dreary weather, but, we had delightful weather with peak color change where ever we explored.
On Saturday night, our hosts invited us to campfire complete with S'mores. We love campfires. We always learn something while sitting around the fire. We usually have a good sense of time, but I looked at my watch and it was 11:00 pm already. Time flies around the campfire.
We took the opportunity to spend one whole day to explore from Hasings to St. Paul. Using the map and gps, we started at Ravine Park, then hugged the Mississippi River shoreline as close as we could on the way to St. Paul.
There are residential areas, lots of parks, overlooks, industrial areas, islands, marinas. We made it to Mound Park in St. Paul before returning to the hosts.
The parking arrangement slopes a bit. Our host helped us to get level with some of his 2x4s. The hosts power is 20 amp on a dedicated breaker.
We hope to follow our hosts on social media as they make progress with their plans.
