I work as the office manager for a small non-profit and my husband works part-time for a healthcare billing service. He is retired from his career as a programmer analyst for a large utility. We have 2 grown sons. Our oldest son lives in western PA, and our youngest son lives in NYC. The oldest is a civil engineer and the youngest just graduated from law school. We also have hosted three exchange students, all girls. The first was from Italy, second from Thailand and the third from Germany. We did this when our boys were in college.
We had been tent campers most of our lives. We then switched to camping out of our mini-van. That didn't last long since we couldn't stand up and no bathroom. We started looking at options that we could store in our garage because our neighborhood rules prohibit campers from being parked in driveways indefinitely. We ended up with a 1997, 16 foot "egg camper". It's working out well for us at this point in our lives.
My husband has many computer skills and is handy around the house. My work skill is accounting and I enjoy cooking.
Several years ago we lost our very large Yorkshire Terrier named Porky the Yorkie. So far, we have not added a new furry friend to our family, although we still miss him and may change our minds in the future. We both love dogs and he did travel with us.
So far, just in friends' and family's driveways.
We live in a "country" development outside of Columbus, OH. I was commuting to my job in downtown Columbus 4 days/week until COVID-19 forced our entire office to work from home.
