This stay was great.
The house was easy to gind. And the property was large and easy to get in and out of. Jo turning around necessary, and plenty of room for multiple rigs.
The host was great. Friendly, respokded quickly. And greeted us upon arrival ensuring we were all set and had everything we needed.
There was 50 amp power, water and even a sewer dump. We only used the electricity due to the temperatures but the other amenities are a great bonus.
We would definitely stay here again. And since we do like to visit chicago we very likely will be passing through again!
We spent our very first night in our new rig at krichmond. Despite my best planning, we arrived just after dark, in a nice big snow storm. Ken was out with us, getting us plugged in and settled for the night. $5 for electrical hookups! He has water also, but we isn’t use it. His place was perfect for an overnight stop, or probably more if you are visiting the area. We would have liked to spend more time getting to know him, but, well, snow! Thanks for the hospitality!
Krichmond offers water, 50amp electric, and sewer dump. A stop along the way to somewhere else. His friendliness, hospitality, and helpfulness was awesome. Level site with easy in and out.
Thank you for a great stay.
It was easy to find and park, great spot to spend our time there. We took a day trip over to the national and state park dunes and local towns, all in a reasonable distance.
Quick communication from pre arrival to leaving. THANK YOU
This place has everything we needed. Full hook ups for $15/night. (You can use whatever you need at $5 each) When we arrived, host came out to show us where to park. Very nice guy with a nice family. We were visiting this area to see the Dunes National Park and Chicago. It worked out great and host was very helpful with recommendations and info. Everything you need is nearby. We would stay again if we come back to this area. Would recommend to anyone looking for a safe place to stay with a nice, helpful host.
My wife and I were going to stay with krichmond over the labor day weekend this year. We had been working to get our Motorhome up and running after almost 3 months of various repairs. We really wanted to head back to South Dakota! By the time we got our rig back (Sunday) all the campgrounds were not able to get us in because of Labor Day bookings. But Krichmond was very accommodating and offered us 5 nights of boondocking so we could get through the Labor Day weekend. We left on Wednesday to go there and got within about 1 hour of his place when we the power steering went our on our Diesel Pusher. Now we are back in a repair facility waiting for at least a week to get this repaired. But here's what I want to tell you about krichmond. When I called him to explain what happened, he not only helped me properly diagnose what was wrong with the rig, but offered to drive up and help me drive it to him so we could work on it there... or get it to a facility that he was familiar with. That is going way above and beyond. As it happened, the hydraulic pump that controls the steering also controls the cooling fan for the radiator... so driving any distance wasn't possible. So while I can't tell you about staying at krichmond's place... I can tell you that you'll be met with great hospitality and help with whatever you might need.
