happily retired, living at 7500 elevation on the side of Grand Mesa Colorado. I worked hard developing a secluded acre on my property next to year round creek as an RV site for family/friends. Decided to open it up to campers and RV travelers when we have no visitors.
I have owned motor home and travel trailers in the past. As you probably know already, one gets pretty handy at fixing RV problems if you own one. I love auto mechanics but now that I am old I limit my repairs to simple easy repairs like brakes, starters, alternators, etc.
I usually only boondocked when we bought raw land and were developing it as a homesite (Oregon and Colorado). Wife and I did a lot of trailer camping in Florida because retired resident seniors only have to pay a token amount to stay with full hookups.
The travel trailer is a 2016 R-Pod. The tow rig is a 1994 white GMC K2500 with black camper shell OR a dark gray 2010 Nissan Frontier. It depends on which Truck we drove to Florida for the winter from Colorado.
So sorry we were on the road and were unable to meet you. Hope your stay was pleasurable
Loved having them at our house. Great visit and hope they come back this way and stay with us again.
Great communication. Polite, respectful, quiet couple.
Will welcome them back any time.
Our host was super helpful as my wife was suffering some altitude sickness. Host went out of their way to help us through this time. The spot on the river was very private and relaxing. I hope we get to visit this retreat again in the future
This developing property is a little part of heaven
Out host treated us generously and the RV spots are quiet and serene
The babbling brook will mesmerize you into another dimension
Kindness is rare and undervalued! The Mayers’ were so very helpful when I was traveling through their area. They recommended several tourist spots and offered information to improve my journey!
I am very appreciative!
