We left a house in Fort Worth TX behind in spring 2020 and moved into our new 2020 Heartland Big Country 5th wheel trailer. He is a nuclear engineer just retired from the government after 22 years and a total of 40 years in the business. She is an elementary school teacher who has been doing substitute teaching for more than 15 years. Our children are 31 and 27 in 2020 and are long out of the house, we don't expect them to travel with us. Interests include travel, history, hiking, cooking {indoor and on the fire}, books, canoeing, and tabletop gaming. He has 40 years in Scouting, she has more than 15 years. We are coming off of several years in leadership positions in our church, she just finished 3 years as Council President, he was church Treasurer.

We have been in every US state and many countries.

WanderingElks's Pets

Yes, Copper is a 5 yr old (in 2020) Golden Retriever mutt mix, weighing in at around 45 LBS. He is very well behaved {except towards cats and squirrels}, friendly, and quiet dog. Excellent around other dogs, especially small dogs. He loves to be outside the camper and you wouldn't know he was there.

Almost an extra day

They managed to arrive in the early evening, pretty good considering how far they drove. After navigating our drive, we had to do a bit of excavation fort he ladder to sit properly. Not to be outdone, the camper gave up its own problem. This almost became an extra day for repairs until the mechanic/tow driver, who also is a camper, managed to find the issue (which, fortunately was an easy one). All fixed and on the road, albeit a bit later than intended. We fixed a breakfast as the kitchen oft he camper was a bit closed off. Meanwhile, we had interesting conversation over some shared background - and I will have a copy of your book for autograph when you return. Obviously we enjoyed their stay and look forward to them returning as t hey travel about.

On The Road Full Time

It was wonderful to have a new RV loving couple come to our farm. So nice to meet friendly folks that enjoy the good life with their dog. Come back soon.
