Married with two great sons, one who farms near to us. I like to take off in my Scamp and find places to chase trout with my fly rod. I was in public education for nearly 40 years, and loved all of it! Retired I am a writer, farmer's helper (for my son), and hunt and fish.
I can tie you some of my favorite trout flies, read you a funny story, or opine on the state of public education.

DocGWood only stopped for an overnight stay. Got to chat for a bit. He's easy to have a conversation with and was kind enough to take some excess produce I had. His Scamp is a neat little home away from home. Welcome to stay anytime in the future.
We stayed two nights while visiting state parks and Wayne National Forest in the surrounding area. DocGWood helped us with directions and made us feel very welcome. He answered all our questions and gave us useful tips about the area
A nice quiet place in the woods to relax after a long drive. This is true boondocking, but with the luxury of a nice Firepit provided to enjoy under the stars. We were only there for one night, but enjoyed the nice solitude, but be aware no Cell Service!
The site was grass & we found a great level spot. There is a hill at the entrance. Our F150 & 24ft Travel Trailer had no issues making it up or down (and our Lance trailer has very low clearance). Was a great place to relax, enjoy the fall foliage, etc. We Highly Recommend!
We also have a Special Thanks to a Host who helped us make our family whole again after we lost our 14yr old dog Jake during our travels. We now have 9 month old Jaxson George, only possible through the kindness & willingness of a complete stranger to help us rescue/adopt a dog in his County shelter. We are forever grateful & thankful beyond words. Thank You George!
