~Ron and I are the proud owners of a teardrop camper named Wall-E. After many years of tent camping with three scouts and on family vacations, we decided to finally get up off the ground. We've owned Wall-E for 5 years and have close to 25,000 miles seeing the US and Canada.
~We are currently empty nesters of 4 "sometimes" wonderful kids. We have 3 grand kids which we never see enough of. Looking forward to teaching them the great sport of camping and seeing the country.
~ Ron and I are both still employed as we have very expensive hobbies. We both love to cycle and always include RAGBRAI on our yearly calendar and we're both on ski patrol at the local family ski resort.
~ We love meeting new people and seeing new sights. Life is too short to stay in one place.
We have one golden, Ellie who loves to travel and camp. Lillah is our Maine Coon and she also loves to travel but gets car sick easily so she stays home with the sitter. Reuben is my pride and joy. He's a 24 year old thoroughbred that I have had since he was 5. He also loves to travel and we did a lot of showing throughout the years. He stays at the barn enjoying retirement ( lucky guy!)

This was a great find at the end of a day when I decided I couldn't drive any farther. I didn't stay very long but the neighborhood was beautiful and safe. I was able to visit with my host for a few minutes upon arrival just to get situated and give my dog time to stretch his legs. She even had an extension cord available so I didn't need to pull out mine. Great quiet street. I even slept until 9 a.m. which is unusual for me on the road! Thank you.
We spent two nights at Wall-E’s and got to explore while out riding our bikes via the great bike paths around Bettendorf and Davenport.
You won’t find two nicer and generous hosts. They graciously invited us to have dinner out with them and we had a very nice time.
Most definitely recommended.
Our hosts are very experienced campers. They have a lovely home and landscaped yard. We sat on the deck and chatted until we “folded our tents” We hope to return the favor to them someday!
