We are Brooklyn and Andrew and we live full-time in our teal school bus with our two dogs Kingston (Pomeranian) and Stitch (Shiba Inu). Andrew is a Civil Engineer and I graduate nursing school December 2020. We love the freedom of living on our bus and we love traveling.
We built our whole bus ourselves except for solar, so we are kind of handy. We didn’t really know what we were doing prior to the build but it turned out cool. I semi-professionally water ski and spent many summers teaching others to ski so that’s a skill I guess.... I make stuff on my cricut and embroidery machine and I like to cook. That’s about it.
We have a Shiba Inu who is a year old and a Pomeranian who is 6 years old. Both dogs are well trained and do not bark frequently. Stitch, the shiba, is a rescue who is not very social. He likes to sit back and people watch. Kingston, the Pom, expects attention and loves being pet.
We are new to boondocking! We are suckers for full hookup campgrounds haha, but we are adventuring out of our comfort zones!
We are both from Indiana. I am from Warsaw and he is from Indy. We live in our bus full-time but when we aren’t “traveling”, we stay near Fort Wayne Indiana.
It is a 35 foot schoolie with 30 amp hookup (we have adapters to either go up to 50 or down to 15 if necessary). We have our own bathroom, so facilities are not necessary. Water is not needed, but appreciated if you have it. We tow a black HHR :)
This is only the second time we've had a skoolie guest. Always enjoy seeing other people's DIY projects.
Welcome again any time.
Brook and Andy were a pleasure to meet! We had some interesting discussions! I'd love to have them stay with us again the next time they are in the area. Take care guys and safe travels!
Nice young couple with two beautiful pups. Awesome rig.
This couple is enjoying life! So glad they came and truly explored the area. They are very pleasant and fun to talk with. Really looking forward to there return visit. There Schoolie is pretty cool too.
This was a very nice young couple. They were extremely polite and interesting to talk to... They left our place exactly as they found it. They are welcome back any time...
This was their first Boondocking experience. Like all first timers, somethings went well, somethings didn’t. Their teal school bus was really neat, a real tribute to their determination and skills as they did all the modifications themselves.
They were respectful to join property and their dogs were very polite and quiet. We hope they will stop and see us again on one of their future trips.
