I currently live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and when I'm there, I work as a substitute teacher. I have jobs that take me out of state, however, and I found out about Boondockers Welcome while searching for an alternative to staying in motels or campgrounds. I thought it was a great idea and I'm glad to have had the chance to try it out a couple of times.
I love to travel and have personally been to many places around the world, including two round-the-world tours. I've been to many countries in Europe, as well as Asia and other parts of the world. I also lived for ten years in Israel.
I know how to make money on the road.
I've only been boondocking in Georgia and Florida, so they are my only favorite locations so far. I'd love to add some more favorite boondocking locations!
I originally came from Southern California, but currently live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where I bought a foreclosed house that I am slowly fixing up.
I used to own a 26' Coachmen Class C motorhome, but it was too expensive to run, so I sold it and traded in my little Nissan Versa to get a Nissan Quest van, from which I took out the center seats and folded down the rear seats to make room for camping gear. I am in the process of making my own custom interior to suit my particular needs. I recently bought a clip-on awning that can be made into a tent to give me some more room while camping. I'll upload a picture of my rig with the tent attached when I get a chance.
